It is nice to have my suspicions confirmed about It's Late and SYW. Glamberts, of course, want to hear them because they are new, and we have heard all the "hits" dozens of times. Die-hard Queen fans, probably the same. But, I suspect that a majority of the attendees are not familiar with Queen's deeper album tracks. Anyone who watches sports, TV commercials, or listens to music aired anywhere knows the big hits. They are part of our collective culture. The audience gets energized when they hear the familiar strains start. And they get a bit restless with the unfamiliar songs. I think that is why some reviewers say the show starts slowly before hitting its stride with AOBTD and FBG. Before watching the QAL concerts I had never heard HTF or SCC, and I venture to say many other audience members had not either. But starting out with the less familiar cuts may be intentional, in order to give the audience a couple of numbers at first to take in the visual spectacle, and to ramp up the energy gradually to full force. Once the show is speeding along, losing the energy for It's Late and SYW, in addition to the selfie stick and the long guitar solo, probably was deemed too much. Certainly the pacing they decided on worked very well for them. They seem to know their full audience well. It will be interesting to see what they change for Europe. I wonder how the band perceives the audience reception for Two Fux from where they stand. I read some Queen fan reviews that said it didn't go over well with the audience, but they have kept that in.. Since some of you have said that It's Late and SYW got a good response from the audience, and yet the band perceived otherwise, it just made me wonder about TF...

"Girl Crush" I think shows Adam's versatility as a singer and performer.... (I became a Glambert when Adam performed Ring Of Fire on Idol, but years later Adam made me weak in my knees with another country song.... a genre I don't typically listen to...) www.youtube.com/watch?v=RmdmhHQkiK0

lol...I've always wondered...If you guys could show someone ONE single video (yes broad term and it's meant that way) what would it be? Someone says: "You keep talking about this Lambert-guy...show me ONE video of what the guy is about, so that I can get an impression of him" (do people get the gist?) Since you are asking... My cousin who is Bulgarian, married to an American and lives in Germany asked me something like this. So I made her a Google Presentation called "The Essential Adam Lambert". On the first page entitled "If you have time for just one song...", I put the WWTLF video from Isle Of Wight. The day after my Vancouver QAL concert, my parents, who were visiting us from Bulgaria and had no idea about my AFL addiction, asked me about how it was, and who the guy who sings in place of Freddie might be. So after 9 years I finally "came out" as a Glambert to them. This time I decided to start with the beginning of the Queen Rocks Big Ben concert, mainly because he looks very playful and cute in the opening DSMN. That worked well. The reaction of my mother blew me away (and she really likes Freddie!) First thing she said was "Oh my God, he is gorgeous!" Then came "What a voice". And what totally surprised me was "and he can not only hit the high notes, his voice is so nice in the lower range!" We spent most of the afternoon going through more historical videos. When I showed her the AI audition, she did not recognize him It was an amazing day...

The Phoenix show at the Celebrity, with a rotating stage making it difficult to shoot videos, was a home run for me. This was the "practice show" where he debuted his songs before his TOH tour. The excitement was palpable as soon as he walked onto the stage. "There I Said It" had everyone gasping but here is another goodie. Stick with the video to get to the end. Fantastic! This is for you grandduchess! www.youtube.com/watch?v=UfMBlSjTUhY

I felt like at my shows, 2Fux got probably the weakest reception. JMHO I imagine it'll stay in for Adam.

Plus it's the perfect song to follow his speech.
