I once, when I was very, very young, had a boyfriend who crewed on a schooner out of Marblehead during the summer. It was about 68 feet. The crew sleeps in the bow, called the focsle, short for forecastle. Believe me, crew quarters aren't anything like the owners and their guests!

I just realised, how special it must be for Adam: His first real job was being a singer on a cruise ship. Back then he lived down in the crew quarters and was not allowed to spend his free time in the bars or other parts of the ship that were for the paying guests. Now he is a guest on a sailing yacht, which has a cook and crew, just for their "family"! Wow!

Gorgeous clouds! I am wondering, do they all sleep on that yacht? That's quite cozy, isn't it? I think you would have to be quite comfortable with everybody to be together in a fairly intimate setting like this. The boat is quite large, here are some specs and a link to some details you may not have seen earlier. www.yachtcharterfleet.com/luxury-charter-yacht-24816/tigerlily-of-cornwall.htmI don't know anything about sailing and yachting, obviously, so when looking at the specs I see a maximum of 5 crew members and a a maximum of 8 guests. I am wondering if the number of "crew members" are included in the group of "guests". Did they hire additional crew members to steer the boat or are Roger and guests doing that? If so, that's some "work", isn't it? May be Adam is finding a new hobby...

I'm pretty sure, they all sleep on that yacht. We have seen them having breakfast there. And when you look at the pics of the cabins on that boat, then I would love to stay there. Roger has a suite like a king! Only question is: Does Adam and Dana share a cabin? I have the impression that would be rather cosy ( because the double beds seem to be rather narrow). But when there areonly the four of them there is plenty of room! www.yachtcharterfleet.com/luxury-charter-yacht-24816/tigerlily-of-cornwall.htmI wonder how many crew members work on the boat.. and wouldn't they also take some of the rooms to sleep in? Was wondering the same thing as pi regarding "crew members", but I already addressed that in a different post. The suite looks quite awesome, but for the remaining rooms I think you would have to be extremely comfortable with each other or spread out a little. What an exciting adventure for Adam!! I'm almost experiencing an extra little vacation through him haha

They know it and care for it. The 8 guests are additional. But if the guests are interested, I bet the crew will teach them a bit and let them help.😉 But I guess the sails are mostly automatically set?

Five crew members, most logically 4 to sail the vessel and one who is the cook/housekeeper. Up to Eight boaters / guests. Roger appears to be a pretty avid sailor himself, he may very occasionally pitch in with some of the crewing but this is not a boat for beginners - at most the guests may do a little well supervised sailing.

Happy for Adam. (Dana must be pinching himself even more than Adam haha)
