Gorgeous clouds! I am wondering, do they all sleep on that yacht? That's quite cozy, isn't it? I think you would have to be quite comfortable with everybody to be together in a fairly intimate setting like this. Did you see the interior pics? The bedrooms look incredible!

I don't know anything about sailing and yachting, obviously, so when looking at the specs I see a maximum of 5 crew members and a a maximum of 8 guests. I am wondering if the number of "crew members" are included in the group of "guests". Did they hire additional crew members to steer the boat or are Roger and guests doing that? If so, that's some "work", isn't it? May be Adam is finding a new hobby... Tigeelily is rated for a total of 13 potential on board. Five crew members, most logically 4 to sail the vessel and one who is the cook/housekeeper. Up to Eight boaters / guests. Roger appears to be a pretty avid sailor himself, he may very occasionally pitch in with some of the crewing but this is not a boat for beginners - at most the guests may do a little well supervised sailing. Thanks, @graciejane, as well as bamafan. Got all the info I needed thanks to so many responses. (a little side note for the mods may be....I wish this site would have the option of a "like" button, to be able to acknowledge someones answer without cluttering up the whole thread by answering too many similar posts)

I once, when I was very, very young, had a boyfriend who crewed on a schooner out of Marblehead during the summer. It was about 68 feet. The crew sleeps in the bow, called the focsle, short for forecastle. Believe me, crew quarters aren't anything like the owners and their guests! Interesting, thanks! Probably a fun adventure for a young lad with the right skills, but it is not for everybody, especially those who are a bit claustrophobic.

We haven't seen any pics or vids that seem to show the yacht actually sailing (i.e. With sails - not motoring). And yeah, the crew would probably do most of the heavy lifting wig that. We sailed in Croatia for a week on a bare -boat charter (no crew) on a 45afoot sailboat, with four other people. The cabins were really cramped for those of us who weren't singles... I think we had maybe 9 square feet of floor space, and I couldn't even sit up in the bed! In the week we were on the boat I think we only actually sailed about 5 percent of the time - otherwise we were "motor-sailing" (sails up, but motor on as well because there was very little wins), or just motoring for hours on end. .. D H likes this sort of thing! I'd rather spend my time on land,,seeing the sights and birds! To bring it back to Adam - not sure what part of "sailing" the non-crew passengers would probably do other than perhaps taking the helm and steering for a bit. I'd bet they're just relaxing and letting the crew do the work of taking the yacht from one place to another.

Loved the story!! ... and I enjoyed browsing through some of Roger's family pics. Roger must be quite a fun guy to hang out with - I am sure that Adam is equally close to him as he is with Brian, just on another level.

Thanks for sharing your experience, which is very enlightening for me as someone who too has preferred vacationing on land so far. But Adam's vacation is sparking my interest haha. Keeping things real, it looks like not all vacations on sea are the same (duh!) and the level of comfort hugely depends on the amount of $$ you are ready to spend. Lucky Adam.

Yeah, we didn't pay $40,000 for the week, and we were the crew and the chefs! Lol!

The one bedroom that really stands out to me is the master bedroom. The others aren't roughing it either, just a bit "cozier", and less light.

Back to music (although I love Adam's vacation without being there): I don't know, if it has ever been posted here, but since Adam is Queen 's singer, it should be OK: This year's "The Voice -Kids" in Germany had a battle, that I absolutely loved: 3 kids (11,13 and 14 years old) sang Bohemian Rhapsody. One of them -the youngest didn't know the song before (BoRhap isn't as popular in Germany as in other countries, she did know Queen though.). This battle was called the best the show has ever seen. Maybe some of you like to check it out. m.youtube.com/watch?v=kGOldIJ0b4YI also found out that the winner from 2013 sang Adam's "Whataya want from me" in the final. She was really good!
