The fact that everyone is not in love with SS, his style or his singing does not mean they are jealous in Adam's behalf, LOL. I don't care for Nick Jonas either. Not in awe of Sheeran. Now I will admit that I like Adam's voice a ton and can't think of anyone current who is better. I think he is sexy, gorgeous, a wonderful vocalist and a great showman. I think he is very successful. But the broken record about envy because there are different opinions of other artists is just a tired broken record. I just want to hear Adam played a lot on US radio is all. I think I am allowed to want that for him without the finger wagging. Amen. I'm pretty sure that even if I'd never heard of Adam, I still wouldn't appreciate SS's voice...

I'm so sorry for everyone affected by the devastating fires. I just found out that a dear friend has lost her home, but she is so thankful she and her family are all safe. Peace and love to all affected-and gratitude to all the firefighters attempting to save people and homes.

My heartfelt prayers for everyone in beautiful Northern California - one of the most alive and conscious places on earth. My heart breaks for all affected and for the beloved green hills.

Sonoma County, Napa Valley....such beautiful, beautiful places. This is so sad. My heart is breaking. So many friends and family of mine have lost their homes today. My brother had to leave in the middle of night with nothing, couldn't find the cat and came back this afternoon to charred ruins - they just bought the home a year ago, 1.3 million. My house is ok, but I left town and praying the wind doesn't pick up as there are 2 fires encroaching mine, one from north and another from the south. I packed up valuables and left town early afternoon - air quality was just horrible. All grocery stores and restaurants were closed and didn't get gas as the lines at the stations I passed were so long. Momtomany evacuated last night to a hotel, then had to leave the hotel a few hours later - that Hilton burned down. They are safe but I'm praying for their home now.

Love what you had to say sku1... thanks The comparisons happen because of radio! Adam just never gets on any program directors play list. His music is as good if not better in many cases but is never played on radio. Seems like most other artists drop a song and before you know it we hear it 4 or 5 times a day! I've never understood why Adams music has to be requested and pushed constantly to get any air play! FRUSTRATING!!!!!!!!!!! ETA: I know he gets played around the world but I live here. How are people suppose to remember he exists if we don't hear his music ON THE RADIO! That's how people will search him out. I hope radio becomes less important as time goes on! sku1, you said a lot of how I feel. Thanks for putting it so plainly. It's not that I'm jealous of SS or other artists that seem to zoom up past Adam and top the charts. It's just plain frustration. SS is just fine. and yes, he's a "sexually safe" gay man in the public's eye. Nothing overt. Nothing deliberately sexually titillating. Just a nice, benign guy who has found a "sound" that is killing it on the charts. And being British doesn't hurt either. Americans think being British is very cool. It enhances an artist's acceptability in the US, IMO. SS has that low, bluesy sound. I kind of like it, but it all sounds the same to me. He has zoomed right up there, right with Sheeran (whose voice is very mediocre, IMO). But "voice" is beside the point. Adam has said, "It's not about the voice," He gets it. Adam's persona is not for everyone, even if his voice is the best in the business right now. Even if he's killer handsome. Even if he's smart and witty, etc. etc. In spite of all that, I just think some people don't think he's cool to like. He gets respect from big names in the business.. QAL has given him huge cred. But none of that seems to get him decent radio play. MAYBE (as we always say) he will hit the jackpot this time around and have a great single that is promoted and heard by the masses. And cheriemelissa, I totally agree. Adam does quite well overseas as a solo artist. But I live in the USA and want him to get his due right here! There is no one particular reason why SS or ES etc. zoom to the top. It's a combination of demographics, a certain sound that his appealing to many, luck, timing, non-threatening-ness. The things that makes me love Adam the most are probably the same things that other people find unappealing. No figure. And to those of you are close to the fires in the LA area, please be careful and safe. We are a family here and we care!

According to an evacuation map posted by the San Jose Mercury news, MomToMany's home (and the Glee chandelier!) is just barely outside the evacuation area .... although as someone mentioned earlier, she is probably involved in the evacuation from Kaiser Hospital in Santa Rosa. Quick question Does momtomany have the Glee chandelier? Yes, she does. I moved last April and couldn't take the chandelier with me ... I handed it off to MomtoMany, who now has it hanging in her bedroom. Praying that it is safe, along with her lovely home ... maybe when this is all over we can talk her into posting a picture of the chandelier in its new home ...

So much devastation. Praying for those who lost their homes and for those, like Momtomany, who still do not know if their homes are still there. So much heartache.
