Such lovely words about Adam in that review. But we Glamberts are used to perfection. We expect nothing less. He always delivers. I sure wish he had been part of that star-studded CBS benefit show from last night. I can't understand why he isn't included in some of these things. He can hold his own with the top names, hands down. (Sorry about my "Miss Crabby Pants" moment. LOL Also the Hollywood Bowl! He was there, why not be part of it! Just don't understand after all these years in the business he's not part of these kind of things. I know he does a lot of performances for charity but they are small venues and not widely seen unless you look for them! Not saying that Adam would be included if circumstances were different. But don't most or all of the others have current music out that is charting on radio? Some have newly or soon to be released albums to promote. I know Two Fux is current but it is not on the radio and not charting and he has no album soon to be released. I don't feel bad about him not being included it this tho there are other things where I wish he were.

Well let’s see, no recent music on the radio, no music currently on the radio, no indication of any near future music for the radio, not the crowd or event for 40year old covers.... I do wonder and worry a bit about what must go through his head when he attends these events as a spectator though. That has to be hard on the confidence and the will.

@graciejane why would it be hard on his confidence and will? Genuinely asking out of wonderment not in a confronting way... Adam is a music lover, my take would be he simply enjoys them and or finds inspiration... How much success he really wants for himself remains speculation. My guess is it's a back and forth of being content an wanting more. That the business is not solely about talent is fact and he knows that and has said so. Glad I'm not the only one who's having a grumpy day^^...starting with the hissy fit this morning, I've been bitchy all day...but those upcoming concerts sure give me a boost loool Speaking of grumpy..."grumpy old men" is one good movie, sure to make you laugh

Not to be argumentative but what does that have to do with a charity event!!!!!!!!! He's as much a name as some I saw at this event!

He is doing things the way he wants. Often I hear fans say I just want to hear new music from him and I don't care if it gets radio play. There have been several of those since GT and ALN so they got their wish. But when you release songs that you know will not get radio play then there is little exposure to be expected. It is a choice and something he wants to do until he is ready for another push to radio. Looking forward to that and I believe it will come.

Ever since I read Simon Curtis’ Twitter thread a few days ago about how he’d been abused, I stopped being jealous about other singers’ success. I realize I must have lived in fantasy land, thinking that being gay has got nothing at all to do with how successful you are. Even if the main public doesn’t mind, as long as the strong people in the industry want to have leverage over you, they will. Adam never let himself be a victim. You never know what the successful singers had to go through in order to make it. It might have ruined their whole lives. I’d rather have Adam happy than on radio.

I'm pretty sure there are a lot of successful singers on radio who have not been abused. Sometimes it is label support. Excellent management. Radio payola in some way. And sometimes talent is showcased in the right place to open some doors. And some don't face the same biases that others face and strive to overcome. When Adam first started out and was getting more opportunities and publicity than other Idols, some nasty Cook fans were tweeting out very ugly and made up assumptions as to why he was getting better opportunities than their guy. They could not accept that his talent, charisma, interest, and support were working in his favor. And he is still doing better and has more high profile opportunities than Cook to this day. What happened to Curtis was terrible and should not happen to anyone. But no assumptions from me that others can't succeed unless they have been victims or cause they slept their way to the top. It happens but not for everyone.

Review: Adam Lambert amazing on Bon Jovi's 'Livin' on a Prayer' SpecialBeverly Hills - On October 20, Grammy-nominated pop star Adam Lambert performed at GLAAD's Spirit Day concert at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. This Spirit Day event was in support of anti-bulling for the LGBTQ community. Lambert, who was dressed in a suit, opened his set with 4 Non Blondes' "What's Up?" and he immediately broke into Bon Jovi's signature tune "Livin' on a Prayer," where he was able to blow the roof off the venue thanks to his trademark pipes, which showcased his magnanimous vocal range. It looks like this will be the year that Bon Jovi finally enters the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and Lambert delivered a Hall of Fame worthy performance of "Livin' on a Prayer," where he paid the ultimate homage to the iconic New Jersey rock group. Lambert's vivacious performance of "Livin' on a Prayer" may be seen on his Instagram page. The VerdictOverall, Adam Lambert was superlative at the Spirit Day concert, where he tackled classics by such musical acts as 4 Non Blondes and Bon Jovi. He is able to rock out like no other, and musically, Lambert is in a league of his own. His Spirit Day set earned an A rating. To learn more about global music star Adam Lambert, check out his official website. Glowing review, to be sure, but this is from a "fake news" site. Digital Journal is one of those where fans post their reviews. And having a MAGNANIMOUS vocal range? MAGNANIMOUS means extremely generous and giving. NOt MAGNIFICENT. The teacher in me protests the misuse of the term.

But imo, it would be hard at some level, to see others having popular market success when you work equally or harder. Does looking to someone else for inspiration not at some level say they have achieved something you have not? One does not work as hard as he does without some desire for success and recognition. Just normal human emotions, hence my wonder/worry comment. None of us know exactly what he wants, he may not either, as those desires may ebb and flow for many reasons. I’m not grumpy, at least I don’t think I am, just kicking some thoughts around.

I'm not assuming that it's an "either-or" situation, but the last couple of weeks taught us that the phenomena is very wide spread, especially when you're a woman or a gay man.
