Saw a CNN article about Garth Brooks lip-syncing for the Country Music Association Awards program. (CMA. Is that where Adam performed?) Brooks explained that he had been on a grueling tour and "The voice just isn't there anymore, and you want to represent country music as best you can." So glad that 1. Adam and Queen pace the tour so as not to over tax Adam's voice 2. Adam has the training and knows how to care for his voice Of course, I do believe that without the training and discipline and technique that Adam has, other singers doing that setlist as often as he does would have vocal difficulties. Adam impresses in so many ways. Garth played here in Lincoln NE and he did 5 concerts in 3 days. On Friday, he did 1 show. Saturday he did a matinee and a night show, and the same on Sunday. And, I believe these were 2 hr shows. From what I saw on FB, he did the same at every city he played in. I don't know how much time he took off between concerts though. I thought at the time that that was a hell of a lot of shows in 3 days. And, he's no young pup either...lol! I was almost tempted to go even though I'm not a country music fan. But the tickets were a bit pricey and sold out really fast. I do like some of Garth's music, as well as a few others. Not that I buy his cd's or anything, but I do like him. And, from a few short vids I saw, he really goes all out. I totally missed the concert today even though I was home in time to be here. To be honest, I actually forgot about it. I have a very ill feral kitty outside and I've been trying to get him in a carrier for 3 days. No luck today either and I got caught up in calls & emails to the Vet and the sponsors of The Cat House who paid for the TNR of all my feral babies. He's staying right next to the house on the patio, but if I disturb him other than petting him, he leaves. I don't want him wandering off and getting caught by some of the wild things I have around here. He's back in his straw bed now with stuff around him to shelter him from the wind. He's a sweet old boy. Back to the concert though. Sounds like they had an amazing crowd! Can't wait to catch up on the vids when they show up. I really shook my head at myself when I realized that I had completely spaced it out. I think I need a vacation...lol!
