I would be beyond thrills if Adam was part of the cast of JCSS. I only foresee one problem: In the role of Judas he would outclass every other singer. I believe that Jesus is supposed to be the lead character. Oops. Maybe Adam needs to be cast as Jesus instead of Judas to keep the focus on the lead character. Hmmmm. There has been duscussion that he DID get Jesus because he IGed a photo of Ted Neeley, who played Jesus in the movie. That being said, it is the opinion of most JCS fans that Judad has the best songs. I agree from my recollection, Judas has the best songs. And the most interesting character. Dark, brooding. I am not thinking Adam SHOULD play Jesus instead of Judas. I am saying that if the powers that be want the emphasis on Jesus for their Easter Sunday broadcast, Adam as Judas will steal the spotlight, chew the scenery and leave everyone else in the dust. That's just what he does. The reviews of Rocky Horror often cited Adam as being a highlight of the show, despite having just 5 minutes on the screen. Way back in 2004, Adam won over audiences and critics in Brigadoon, and was basically the only thing critics liked about The 10 Commandments. If Adam is cast as Judas, I hope the other cast members are prepared for him to steal their thunder. tee hee.

Not to confuse the 'you guys' discussion further, but given that 'hey gurl' as well as oddly words like queen, she, or even the b-word seem to presently be taken hostage by the rainbow community, what is one to use these days? One wonders. It leaves one longing for some gender neutral pronouns though, doesn't it. As a proud mother of a trans child, I could not long for it more. Anyhoo.... folks, people, gang, whatever thou art to be called these days........that's all I've got for now.

Judas is an anguished, tortured man, in despair due to his own deceit. The role is juicy and full of emotion, more so than the Jesus role, IMO. Like cassie said, Adam has gotten very positive attention for other roles that he has done. Judas is one of his dream roles. Lord knows he has the vocal chops to do it. I would think the producers would at least be considering him. They know who he is and what he's been doing lately. He's sure got the cred.

I am sure Casting Exces if they considered Adam. Woulden't care either way if he was Judas or Jesus. In terms of stealing teh spotlight. I am sure who ever well play Jesus or Judas. IS charasmatic in their own right, and can hold their own. Whether hypothetically speaking Adam is in the thing in any capacity.
