I agree. Adam is by far the most well known of the three. They said they are casting recording artists -- and so far that is what they have done. Adam has a new album in the works -- which will be his fourth major label album, a #1 album plus a solid sales history. He does well on streaming media. He also is the current frontman for Queen. And he should have won Idol. Constantine has released two solo albums -- in 2005 and 2007 -- both with indie labels. Neither had noticeable sales. His album peak was #75 in the US. He was most famous during his Idol run where he came in at #6. He has played Judas in JCS www.playbill.com/article/casting-complete-for-muny-jesus-christ-superstarJudas is the big role in JCS. I am not sure Adam is a big enough star to get this part in a network TV production -- but I can't think of anyone better for the role. One thing I am sure of, it will not be Constantine. Chris Daughtry played Judas in the last network tv production they did. It had a different spin and I don't think the Jesus was a big star. Didn't really enjoy the way they did it that much but Daughtry did a good job. He wasn't the main focus of that production tho. Chris played Judas on national TV .IMHO it didn't make him or break him, career wise...In a couple of hours the show was over and no big hoopla that I can remember. I thought Chris did a really good job and I liked the production.. Just saying

In fact, Adam got more press when he just guest judged on Idol. Chris is not a press darling it seems but they had no problem giving him the role. If Adam does not get the part, I think there are other factors than how big enough star he is. Besides with John being EP I'm sure they are billing him as the star. And Adam(or someone else) and Sara are supporting.

lorraine . As Adam would say..... you made it happen. That's a night I truly envy you and the others there. He was superlatively gorgeous in both outfits - and really seemed totally into it. It is one my Adam fan highlights, for sure. It's right up there with Fantasy Springs. The gasp & then the giggles and applause when that shirt lit up. Then the mic drop of There i Said It, Wicked Game (my bucket list song to hear Adam sing.) And of course, how happy he was to be doing his new album for his fans. Oh, did I mention he looked gorgeous! It's also one of the few times I had first row, so very special!

My point was it’s not just fandom speculation. I was just saying I don’t see Adam following NBC along with every other major person or twitter involved with this production. And just assume it’s fans assembling pieces of evidence. Of course won’t be sure till formal confirmation. It just seems obvious that’s all I'm sorry, I just don't get this. What you're describing is fandom speculation. It can't be anything more than that until an announcement is made. Adam has his reasons for his retweets, likes and follows, but we can only guess at what those reasons are. They might not be what some fans are assuming them to be. That being said, I hope with all my heart that they are, but neither outcome - having the role or not - would surprise me.

We also have times in the past, when Adam's follows and RTs have exactly meant that he had a gig related to his actions. RHPS and XF Australia are 2 that come to mind immediately. And if we were smart enough to figure out his Glee clue, we'd have that one too. So, the people "speculating" aren't just pulling it out of nothing.

Nobody has claimed the speculations are being "pull(ed) out of nothing." Of course sometimes his follows and RTs have been indicative of future gigs, but sometimes they haven't. It's fair to speculate that this time they mean he has the role, but speculation is not fact and I cannot consider it as fact until an official announcement confirms it.

I still can't forgive myself that I missed Morongo...I think there was a good reason for it, but now I can't even remember. Knowing that those marvelous videos don't even do a live performance justice makes me kinda green with envy.
