30 Gay Love Songs: Frank Ocean, Troye Sivan, Kele Okereke & More With video - Adam Lambert, “If I Had You” A perfect pre-game party record, Adam Lambert’s “If I Had You” taps into the singer’s hottest fantasies of claiming a guy all for himself. And quite honestly, we’ve all experienced the feeling of wanting to bring that guy back home from the club. www.billboard.com/articles/news/pride/8013830/gay-love-songs-best-playlist

I find the little on-going publicity splash to be an interesting if not ironic commentary on the social media discussion going on in yesterday’s thread. ..and the whole thing wasn’t even planned , it started as a response to a fan’s plea to have a Twitter party...unless the plea was planted which I highly doubt...

His publicist was ready for it at least. And it could be that they planned something. The fan asking for a Twitter party could have been a coincidence and a nice hook he took. It's most likely something they discussed and Adam had some time free so why not?

Anything Adam puts out there relating to his career has always been picked up by the media. That is why I believe there is little to worry about with his social media pull. When he has something to say they are there and always have been. That is a good thing. What you don't want is them picking up the nonsense that some of the artists like to put out as they crave any kind of attention.

How long are houses usually on the market in Hollywood? Considering there are that many up for sale... Edit: Besides, when Sauli posted one of his selfies from the balcony (?) on his last stay at Adam’s, I noticed a crack in the plaster behind him. Maybe some renovations would be due as well... Poking around on the California Association Of Realtors website. Looks like the DOM is quite short in most cases, a month or so, in the ore affordable higher demand areas. The Hollywood Hills area appears to be very desirable especially for up and comers,of course it’s price point is much higher than average. Lots of information here. www.car.org/aboutus/mediacenterAnd here. themlsblog.com/2018/01/17/q4-2017-market-climate-map-sales-volume-for-single-family-homes/

I just read an interesting piece on praise. Since we frequently have discussions about who is "better" or "best" when it comes to singers, I thought I would bring it over. "...The worst piece of praise I’ve sometimes received after a talk is “You were the best speaker today.” What’s so bad about that? First of all, it undercuts all the other speakers. Moreover, it reminds me of the fact that in many other cases I won’t be the best speaker, so now I feel nervous and self-conscious. Instead of enhancing me, this comment unbalances me in the future.
What you’re actually doing here is comparing, not praising. You are attempting to prop people up by kicking others down. Real praise is telling someone “Your report was amazing,” or “The comedic timing of your speech was perfect,” not telling them that their report or their speech was better than another person’s. Moreover, by telling someone they are “better” or “the best,” you are placing an unconscious, implicit limit on your expectation for what they can achieve. If we’re striving only to be better than someone else, doesn’t that set our expectations for ourselves too low? It tells us that as soon as we are just a little bit better than another person, we can stop trying, even if it means stopping short of our potential.
If you want to enhance others, do not compare them. ..."ideas.ted.com/whats-the-worst-kind-of-praise-you-can-give/?utm_campaign=social&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=facebook.com&utm_content=ideas-blog&utm_term=social-scienceThanks for this! It pretty much confirms what I felt when Brian posted on IG about Robbie W., after he had attended his concert. Why not just praise without setting artists and fan groups up for competition? (I noticed on his IG responses that there were some strong reactions from Freddie fans while Glamberts stayed very mild) Good advice for us Glamberts too. For many of us Adam is the best singer ever, but I think it is smarter to praise him publicly without using superlatives. I have also learned that instead of making general statements that look like facts, it is better received to voice an opinion in form of an "I" statement, like "I see Adam as ... " or "for me, Adam is..."

Com'on, that twitter party and the subsequent press priming was soooooo planned. Every time he posts anything at all, there are responses begging for a twitter party and questions to him hoping for a response. The twitter party gave her something to work with. It ain’t his or our first rodeo.
