I'm sorry but I just watched the episode again and she was rude to Adam from the start! One of her first comments to him was calling him misguided and then it deteriorated from there. She is full of herself and not very nice in my opinion! Adam was there to help and he she did not want any of it! I watched the episode and found he/she with a somewhat condescending attitude from the very beginning of his interacting with Adam. I felt a little uncomfortable with his/her attitude and approach to Adam who was trying to give useful advice. I don't watch the show, know nothing about this contestant, but the vibe/first impression that he/she gave me was not wanting/interested in any critiquing or advice from Adam. Now that is just my take on the whole incident. I am not an invested fan of the show and it's contestants. But that is the impression I got from the whole thing. As one wise man once said it is probably "not that deep". I am thinking the show probably likes to have drama for drama (and ratings) sake!

Hi I don’t post much, but I have been here almost every day since as far back as Planet Fierce days. I’ve followed Adam since Idol and been to see him up and down the UK for his own tours and several times with Queen. I was really looking forward to seeing him on Drag Race coaching the final five as I really love the show and especially Trixie Mattel, Ben de la Crème and Shangela. I was really disappointed in the interaction between Adam and Trixie; and because I’m aware of her dead-pan humour I probably didn’t form the opinion that some people on this forum have, she didn’t come across as rude to me. I felt sad that two people I really admire appeared not to get on. Trixie is kind and warm-hearted, she is loved by most people in her business and her fans, she is a talented musician, singer/songwriter in her own right. As a country singer, she knows her range which isn’t of course anything like Adam’s and I think she was trying to get that across to Adam and unfortunately he appeared to be offended by it and then the whole thing seemed to descend into awkwardness. When it came to the critique of the group performances, every other queen had only comments on their performance, when it came to Trixie Adam only criticised the coaching session, which was less than complementary. Trixie doesn’t usually have a problem collaborating, check out the Trixie and Katya show on you tube, over a million views on each of over 50 episodes – someone thinks she’s funny and gets her sense of humour. Maybe it was the wrong time, wrong place, wrong person. No, it isn’t a beauty competition, as someone posted earlier – do you think previous winners Bianca del Rio, Jinkx Monsoon or Bob the Drag Queen are regarded as beauties? The last straw for me was when someone compared Trixie to Donald HeWhoCannot amed – really? Now I love Adam to bits but are we not taking the protection of a grown man a bit too far? Remember all this was recorded last August and has been edited to fit the purpose and for the drama of the show. In my opinion if Trixie says she felt humiliated, then that is how she feels, after all we have only seen a snippet of what happened and surely she has a right to express her feelings. The show was finished over 6 months ago, she has a solo tour on at the moment with her own song recently at number 1 on ITunes, she has her own fan base that adores her, so what has she to gain – nothing. I just wanted to give my probably unpopular opinion; I’ll go away and lurk again. Hi evie1512 ! Thanks for de-lurking!!! I have been a casual fan of RPDR for years now - Adam introduced me to it years ago - and I have watched the whole All Stars 3 season so far. When I found out that Adam would be on it, I was thrilled!! And I am sure that Adam felt similarly as he has has posted 4 IGs about the show so far. After all, it's been a while since we saw him on TV. I never followed any of the queens, until this morning. BenDeLaCreme was my favorite all along, and I was so bummed to see him take himself out of the competition, so when I happened to read a real nice comment that he made on Adam's IG, I decided to follow him. He is so creative, funny, and classy, and I want to see him live some time. Shangela is a close second for me. About Trixie...Up until Adams' RPDR episode, she came across to me as well spoken, reasonable, and like a person to get along with. I'm not a fan of her stage get-up though. Anyways, as we only see show edits, we can only make assumptions based on the editing. I believe that sometimes people have good chemistry, and sometimes not as much, and I also believe that "drama" can draw attention to a show as well as to contestants and judges. I also believe that any publicity is good publicity (with rare exceptions), so I had a bit of an "aha" moment when I found out in the "post episode6" Billboard article that Trixie had some music to promote Here we go!! Anyways, I was very surprised that someone like Trixie would react to Adam's suggestions in a rather clumsy way as there would have been more appropriate words for her to respond to Adam's suggestions. She instantly came across as rude to me. It could have been the editing, or her not wanting to take vocal advice, or simply self defense mechanism. In hindsight, I almost want to believe her that she didn't quite know how to handle Adam's sexiness. I definitely can see how even the most confident person could get overwhelmed by Adam's "dazzling" presence and thus get a bit off balance. All in all, I think the past episode was in the spirit of a "good" reality tv show. I understand though how humiliated Trixie must have felt once the episode aired and all she got from Adam during the judges evaluations was negative critique based solely on her lack of cooperation during the vocal coaching. What we don't know is how much more may have been said and how much was edited to make it more dramatic. But it's a reality tv show after all, and I agree with most here that "it ain't that deep". One thing I know for sure is that Adam looked absolutely stunning and that he takes coaching and judging seriously. He himself was always respectful on Idol despite his good understanding of how he wanted to come across as an artist/contestant. May be Trixie has learned a thing or two. May be Adam as well. I think statements taken out of context is a big issue. Please join our discussions more often, evie! Varied opinions make this board lively and interesting.
