Ok so discussion topics to keep our interest. Why didn't Adam do any songs on his first album with Red.....?. the guy who always had artists say his name in their songs. Thinking Gaga and Katie may have done songs with him. I think we saw a vid where he said he was signing up for 6 songs with Adam, but then we didn't ever hear anything else. Adam did address this at one point in an interview. There was no drama just down to timing and schedules. They worked together for a day (maybe 2) before the Idol tour started. They had some demos from that session but after tour when Adam was finishing the album they couldn't get their schedules to mesh in order to finish up any of the songs so that was why none of them made it on the album. In other words they never had "completed" songs and just never could connect to finish them. Interesting, even as late as November 2009 articles were referring to RedOne. Here's a blast from the past. Hopefully we have it archived. www.newsday.com/entertainment/music/adam-lambert-has-fun-on-for-your-entertainment-1.1608254

You're going WAAAAY back here lol. They did work together on the first album, RedOne I believe was his name. I remember an awkward pic of them in the studio. They didn't click, I remember Adam being asked about it. I don't remember much else, but the song or songs (if they even came up with any) must not have been very good because we never heard them or about them. That's it, RedOne. Haven't heard much about him since either. I find it interesting to find the outliers whom Adam doesn't get along with, there aren't very many. I checked Wiki and RedOne signed to Warner Bros as an artist a couple years ago and has released a couple of singles, but I don't think they went anywhere, no charting listed for the US.

This is such a great idea, and I love them for doing it. As they said, it's hard! haha I wish "Broken Open" had been there instead of either one of the first two FYE singles, since it's my favorite from that album and, in my opinion, still one of his very best songs. melliemom I agree, a bit. For me, it depends on the context and who is saying it, which speaks to the intent and tone of it. Brian or Roger saying it in his presence, or one of his friends, or a diehard Glambert or an LGBTQ fan... I think they are all saying it warmly and in keeping with his own blending of the feminine and the masculine. Especially within the LGBTQ community, that sort of relaxed gender boundary can be a warm inside joke (though it's not always that, of course). Coming from these voices, it doesn't bother me. But it comes across very differently when said from the context of a non-fan's perspective, assuming that the target audience of the "joke" is also straight and/or non-fans (as I have seen with some awful YouTube comments in QAL, AL, or MM videos). Those comments are clearly meant to belittle him, leaning on the whole homophobic notion that being feminine diminishes a man (which is silly, of course, but cultural stereotypes are slow to fade). It bothers me because of the way it was always used against him by non-fans to put him down and make him a joke. All because he was getting more attention than their favorites. I think what his friends call him as friends with affection, because they are his friends, is one thing. But when it is put out to the public for use, it places him in just another box that he does not need. And it does not sound feminine and masculine to me. It does not sound masculine at all. It just sounds female, transgender or drag queen and he is neither. But that is the way it is used when they want to attack him. And it does not fit with hot, gorgeous, and sexy man/gay man. Or Rockstar, lol. Always grateful that Adam is a great role model for his community. But also grateful that madam is not a title that most place on him when they talk about his tremendous talent, stage presence and success. Adam Lambert sounds just fine to me.

Reading Star magazine on my ipad... There is the picture of Adam cruising on his bicycle in Perth.
(Good to finally get a glimpse of him in the gossip mags.)
Cruise Control Whatdaya want from Adam Lambert? How about a helmet! The American Idol alum pedaled around Down Under while on a break from his tour.
(So American Idol is the grab for having Adam's image in the magazine, I am guessing. And "his tour" ...not QAL. Odd. Maybe nothing to read into this...but I still do!)
