Lordy, Lordy, what a clusterfuck. It indeed is. But I am not sure her change is directed at Adam -- the photo was widely posted without credit by many people. You know what, I get it, it's her work, but once it's out there in cyber space people are going to use it. Most people don't get the whole credit the artist thing! Check for water marks, then what? I'm kind of sick of this BS! Almost makes you afraid to post any picture!

He tagged Sara incorrectly and didn't mention Judas. It's all about John/Jesus.
You can listen to the whole soundtrack for free on Spotify, or buy it elsewhere.
ETA: It's not the whole new soundtrack.....just John's song and Superstar for now.

The songs are billed as "live in concert" but, the concert hasn't happened yet, and they have the recordings. How's that??? John did a better job than I expected. I don't like his falsetto at the end: too wimpy for that dramatic part of the song. But, he does throw himself into the interpretation. As for Brandon, his voice sounds similar to others I have heard do the role. Slightly rough and unrefined. Adam would have sounded very different from that. Maybe too refined? Brandon does not have the depth and roundness and power that I would like to hear in the part.... while Adam has it in spades. But, Brandon acquits himself well. Other than it being the "John Legend Show" it may not suck. But, I don't think I will watch it anyway. Bitter grapes.

Other than it being the "John Legend Show" it may not suck. But, I don't think I will watch it anyway. Bitter grapes. Maybe the pre-recorded songs are for a soundtrack? I assume they will be singing live during the actual performance, right? I'm not sure if I will watch either, but I should, because then I will be able to discuss it knowledgably afterwards. I wish I weren't so emotional about things like this. (little sour grapes, I'll admit) I really wish Adam had gotten the role of Judas and I would really like to know why he didn't. If it was just timing, so be it. If it was something else regarding a disagreement about the concept of the role, etc., I'd like to know that too. I think Adam would have been stellar. When I hear of some role or performance opportunity that seems well-suited for Adam, something that, to me, he should be involved in, I get kind of bummed. Always have to wait for the "next" thing to be the one. I know we always say, "Be grateful for what he DOES instead of worrying about what he DOESN'T do, but I can't help but want the most and the best for him. He just too good to get passed by. Hope the new management is more aggressive with him in getting good opportunities. As for this production, I think it will likely be very good. John Legend will be fine. Alice Cooper will be a hoot. The Mary Mag girl will be lovely. And Brandon will probably gain superstar status from the role. LOL Actually, I think he sounds fine. But Adam would be beyond great.

Adam was still in Australia while they were in heavy rehearsals for JCS so that was probably part of the reason why it would not work for him. There could have been other reasons besides scheduling that made it not to his benefit. But I am pretty glad he is not in this one. It would have been too hurtful seeing Judas (with Adam in the role) not billed and treated as one of the stars of the production. The exposure would have been good for him, but I have not seen anyone in these productions become stars unless they came to the table with star status. Jhud, Daughtry, Carrie, Audra McDonald, Derek Hough, Julianne Hough all seemed to keep the status they had. I don't think it would have been much different for Adam. Cast members who were unknown did not blow up and become stars. Besides, this seems to be John's show and platform. It would have been another accomplishment for Adam but something good will come along for him. I really do believe that.

Calimari (fried squid) would be more plausible and palatable since it is a Mediterranean dish but not sure as a stuffing. No, just No. Must be a fun seder!
