Oh, I didn't know that Michael was on Majors and Minors when Adam was there. I like Cade the rocker as well. A nice variety of girls....not sure about crazy Catie...lol....but like all the others. I think the talent overall is very good. I think the judges are doing good...right now...we'll see going forward. Will be interesting to see how the voting goes and who makes it to the finale. Still hoping for an Adam appearance at some point during the season.

Saw this article yesterday. Just checked BrandonVDixon's twitter account and he's only gained 10,000 followers from 49,000to 59,000. I see he has the most YT views by a little bit over Gethsemane and Sara's song....but not huge numbers. So, I'm not sure that he will be flung into "superstar" status as a result of the Judas role, but it might open up some doors. Interesting paragraph.... www.forbes.com/sites/leeseymour/2018/04/03/why-jesus-christ-superstar-is-yet-another-step-back-for-nbcs-live-musicals/#700c5ef629b5But audiences weren't compelled - at least not any more than in years past. 9.4 million people tuned in to watch, which, when compounded with demographic ratings, is just about even with NBC's past offerings Peter Pan and Hairspray. To be fair, that's not nothing. And reviews were mostly great. It was certainly the best presentation of the material I'd ever seen. But after Hairspray's flat turnout, NBC really needed an unequivocal hit here, which they didn't get. So where did Superstar go wrong? On the surface, it had a recipe for success: smart timeslot, smart twist on the format, and international star power from John Legend, Sara Bareilles, and Alice Cooper. (Tony nominee Brandon Victor Dixon, who gave the night's best performance, was sadly sidelined in much of the marketing push. But such is the fate of Broadway vets in the presence of pop stars).

I'm trying to remember which one is Michael! Is he the one that works in a bowling alley? If so, that is interesting because I thought he was totally undiscovered! Between The Voice and AI, we've seen a lot of singers recently. I think AI is going for more diamonds in the rough this time -- trying to generate the excitement of watching the contestants improve over the course of the show. bamafan not sure what I think about Catie either -- she has a good voice and an opinion (her songs) -- but is just a little too manic. Hard to know if it is somewhat contrived? It is interesting how some people can be manic and charming, while others are manic and annoying. Why is that???

He is undiscovered as many kids who won something as kids but it went nowhere. Alison Irahita won a big prize and contest as a child. David Archuletta was on Star Search. Idol never really makes a big deal out of those things. Pretty much like Carrie had a record deal with a major label at 13 that was called off. Idol treated her as right off the farm, lol.

IDK....but some are and some aren't....lol That Mara Justine was a little manic as well....not a huge fan of her either. I've already looked at the spoilers for top 14...too early to say how things will go down. Quite a few young ones this year.

I was thinking that if they had cast Jared Leto as Jesus and Adam as Judas then they would have an EXCELLENT show with a lot of great media coverage. Oh well..there loss.

I don't think my heart would even be able to take that. I have never had much excitement for Legend. Don't dislike him but I put him with the SS and Mendes types. They are good and successful but, for me, on the dull side.
