I watched JCS last night. I was not impressed. Brandon was much better than John but he did not hold my attention either. And it had nothing to do with Adam. I think the problem for me was that I just recently saw the concert production from the UK (I think) with the guy that someone said won a reality show. I had never seen or been interested in the concert version until we thought Adam would be cast. Then I went looking for it so I would know what to expect. It was fantastic. Jesus was outstanding. Judas was not a good a Jesus but between the two of them they brought more oomph, passion and strong singing to the table than this cast. I even liked their Mary much better. But I guess because I saw that version too close to this one that it would be hard for me not to compare. John was not the right person for that role, imo. Man, I would love to have seen Adam with the other Jesus. That would have been a battle for the ages. Oh well. Glad the ratings and reviews were good for the cast tho. But will need to go look for the other version again this weekend because I saw it twice after I discovered it. Need to see it again.

John Legend was in charge of the whole thing, so he called the shots. He wanted to play Jesus, so he was Jesus. I thought this production was very good, actually. And I've seen multiple live professional JCSSs. I have my favorites over the years, too. It's rare to get the perfect combination of characters played by exactly the right people. It's such a powerful show!

I know I posted this on the last thread, but I'll just repeat here. I enjoyed Adam's little cooking lesson. And I think he would be great at hosting a cooking show. LOL And he has already given us the name of his show: "I'm Ready To Fuckin' Eat." Perfect.
