From the description of Adam's new music does it sound like a different direction with a Queen influence and attempt to draw in some Queen fans? Sounds the same as his other works to me especially with the disco reference. Still excited for the promotion and looking forward to the new music. I too was a bit surprised by all the influences to his new music, including disco, and rock just being one aspect of it. However, I did not expect a rock album. Adam acknowledges that his new music has been informed by his collaboration with Queen, so he may have taken a thorough note how rock band Queen itself managed to incorporate various musical influences into their song catalogue, while still keeping the unmistakable sound they are famous for. What gets me very excited about Adam's new music is the assurance that he didn't follow trends this time around and instead focused on what feels right and authentic. A good song is a good song and it looks like he is really taking the time to get it right. I just hope/assume that he has label support moving forward.

twitter.com/billboard/status/989494329092792320billboard @billboard Adam Lambert poses in Wonderland magazine and says "fans have been waiting long enough" for new music blbrd.cm/4rJmkr After spending the second half of 2017 rocking out as the lead singer of Queen, Adam Lambert said during an interview and photo shoot for Wonderland Magazine that “fans have been waiting long enough” for new music. “I’ve really been trying to explore what I want the sound and subject matter to be,” he told the magazine. “I want it to be authentic and real and something that felt natural to me. Because it’s such a competitive industry.” Lambert posed in a yellow hoodie, red eye liner and a long checkered white jacket that extended below his knee caps for the shoot, which also found him wearing a black button-up, complimented by a blue cardigan with red stripes scattered along the arm in another shot. “So I’ve been really focused on trying to stay in my own truth in everything and it’s been going really well because now I feel like everything is coming together,” the 36-year-old pop star said, without revealing when a new album might be released. Lambert also addressed homophobia in the music industry, “I think there definitely was more of an element in the business [back in 2009,]" he said. "But I didn’t find that the people I was dealing with were actually homophobic but I definitely think they were a little bit worried about ‘how are we going to sell this artist to the masses?’” Lambert recently teased new music in February via Twitter, writing, “I have been working really hard on it! The album is gonna be yummy!” The former American Idol runner-up released his latest single “Two Fux” last summer, a song that tackled Lambert’s challenges with A.D.D.
