Since it's quiet, I thought I would share something and it is definitely related to Adam. I just got back from a 5 mile run getting ready for my 3rd annual 5K run in beautiful Door County this weekend with my sons and grandchildren. Why is this special? As I was running today and my playlist includes a lot of Adam and Queen, I started to remember how this almost 66 year old started this running adventure. I went to see Adam for the first time 2 years ago for his Original High Tour. I was sitting in the front and you know that feeling when you think he is looking at you? I suddenly had an epiphany that I can do anything I set out to do. It dawned on me this former theatre person, dancer and singer could get back on the horse. I came home from that concert and started slow walking and eating healthy. Two years later I'm 40 pounds lighter, no longer ache, dance and sing again. OK, I'm not a spring chicken so I'm not going blazes, but I'm having fun. It helps that my 11 year old granddaughter is a fabulous dancer, winning awards and adores Adam too. I've passed on my grease painted blood. Another revelation was being able to admit that I'm queer. It explains a lot of my past self hate. I'm not chasing relationships obviously, but damn it I'm supporting everyone's right to be who they are. That's what I have to thank Adam for every day. Funny the thoughts that come to you when you're running alone on that rush that comes with doing something positive. Back to lurking but I've been keeping that one to myself for a long time. Loved your story. It's all about enjoying life to the fullest. Sounds like your doing just that! Door County is one of my favorite places to go. My son and his family stay at the YMCA Camp Nawaukwa in Door County every year. So beautiful and so much fun. My grandchildren have practically grown up going there every summer. Good luck on your run!!

2 thoughts on this! 1) It looks this is set up to record dialogue. 2) Playmobil movie can not be the movie Adam said is "in the can." !!! !!! In the perfect world, Adam headed to NY yesterday or today to record a bit more for PlayMobile, later in the week he would move on to rehearse and wow everyone at the GLAAD awards on Saturday and THEN he stays over to mentor the AI top 5 next week.... Stays over? Idol is in LA, not NYC!

Shows how much I pay attention to Idol, for some reason I thought they were filming in NYC since that is where Ryan does his other show.

Just when I need some encouragement your post comes along and makes me feel uplifted. Let us all know how your 5K goes - it's something I'm working on too.

Wonderful story! Thanks for sharing it with us. I hope you get to share your story with as many people as possible: it's all connected - Adam helped you with empowering yourself, and now you are helping others with their empowerment and their epiphanies. Good luck with everything!

girl, gal, lady - I guess for me that's kind of how they go age wise. If you were to say "Hey, see that gal over there" I'd be looking for someone adult height. Kind of like some people object when Adam is referred to as a boy, ie boy, guy, man. LOL I am laughing at myself so hard I can't believe it. Of course I've known all my life what a "gal" is. It's a girl or a woman, etc. But somehow when I saw that a "gal had just recorded," somehow it didn't register with me. With all the acronyms that we all use now, I thought that it meant "gal" like three words beginning with those letters. DUH! You must have thought I'm a real dope. LOL But thanks for your help. Now I know that it's the obvious. It was just referring to a female person. Still laughing. Ha I was trying to think of the last time I saw "gal" in a book and couldn't so it could be just this part of the country. But no I didn't think you were a dope because we have so many non-English speakers on board too so it could be confusing for anyone.
