Wow Frank is going all in -- full GLAM -- at some point in this leg of the tour! I wonder if the eye color changes to shades of color reflects a new outfit for Adam??? --Found Gelly's post in the twitter feed below that contains a picture and more of the conversatin from the Mosaic conversation . "INTERVIEW At the end of last week, pop hero, and current @queenwillrock frontman @adamlambert gave a talk to young people at London-based LGBT where he discussed his experiences as a member of the LGBT+ community. Here, he tell his story of coming out.http://www.nme.com/blogs/i-felt-fabulous-pop-megastar-adam-lambert-on-his-experience-of-coming-out-" full link: www.nme.com/blogs/i-felt-fabulous-pop-megastar-adam-lambert-on-his-experience-of-coming-out-2332153#2vFf5DlY7GA4KbrK.99I think the one sentence that stood out to me the most from this interview is that he learned that sometimes when he auditioned for a role, he was considered too effeminate. I wonder how many times that happened to him? We know him so well by now. We are used to how he moves and speaks and acts. We love him. I wonder if this same factor has affected his ability to get roles since Idol? That word jumped out for me too. I thought ---is this a first--- having him vocalize effeminate. Does anyone remember if he has ever used that adjective in describing himself or how others described him? He certainly tosses out terms such as "queen/ madam". One just wonders if he actually heard that term from anyone or was just making assumptions. What people say about themselves in their head...is often not what you wish to deal with from others.

IMHO, Adam has heard that about himself.. He once said ,if people really saw me ,they might be surprised... He was alluding to being effeminate. To me he is so masculine ,but every once in a while ,the way he holds his fork or moves suddenly,I'm like wow did I just see that.He 's so fluid ,like water.

I fear that this discussion on this board could be a time bomb because what is feminine or masculine anyway, but I will wade gently in. I have never heard Adam use the exact word 'effeminate' as a description of himself. There have been stories and interviews where he has discussed or referred to his feminine side which he seems to enjoy exploring. He has celebrated traditionally feminine behaviors such as make-up and nail polish and many of his heroes were very gender fluid. He has said that people associated with Wicked told him to in essence, butch it up, so I would not be surprised if he had heard himself called effeminate. But he also strongly identifies as cis-gender male which does not necessarily mean the macho Marlboro man type. I suspect that his beauty, grace, and manner have impacted auditions but we have him now as he is without him carrying too many scars for staying true to himself. Hallelujah!

I know some here will remember this (I'm a little fuzzy on the details, but I remember the gist of it.) When Adam was on Idol, he sat with Ryan Seacrest, either before or after one of his performances, and he said something about making that performance really "hetero." IMO, he was saying that he made a conscious choice to be more masculine for that performance. We've seen him behave at both ends of the spectrum. And I would guess that many gay people, male and female, make adjustments like this all the time, depending on the circumstances. When people "guessed" during Idol that Adam was gay, it was based on more than just a wild guess.

The last time this issue actually made it to the forum, we got banished to the Moongarden...otherwise known as the 'dark side'! So I also tread very lightly...but that early interview where he talked of wearing his "man-drag" often comes to mind...and also known as "aesthetic labour". I suspect he does far more of this than we have any idea. In a perfect world, that would and will not always be necessary. He is a brave, fully aware man.

There has been a LOT of press generated from the one discussion to the LGBT youth in the UK. I hope it was inspiring and helpful to youth in the UK and the US youth who saw the interviews in various publications. I also hope this means there will be a ton of publicity, coverage and interest in Adam and his new music in the US and other countries. I see Carrie, Kelly, Sam, Mendes, Imagin Dragon and others will be playing the Iheart Festival this year. Hope to see Adam out there in some high profile events with his new music in the future when it is ready. Fingers crossed.

I think Adam comes across more masculine on stage than in real life, not sure if he's trying to or if it's natural. I've met him a few times in short meet and greets, or in passing - not only does he seem much thinner in person, but I've noticed more gender fluid type mannerisms, still very sexy.

I brought up the topic because Adam made the comment in that recent interview about being too effeminate to get certain roles. in light of us sometimes talking about his being able to diversify into acting, etc., it seemed relevant. Adam is certainly able to handle himself and knows a lot about how to maneuver his way through life as a gay man. I think most of us have learned, through being Adam fans, that it's more complicated than we thought.
