It was always all about Elvis for me. And my favorite song of his of all time "If I Can Dream".

Wow, old memories came flooding back when thinking of my first record, concert and celebrity crush! I was born in the 40s in Minnesota and started buying records when I was 8. I think Gene Autry's Rudolph the Rednose Raindeer was my first. Haha. My Dad had tons of records he was always playing, mostly old folk songs, plus he was a square dance caller. Remember this was before rock n roll. We had a 78 rpm record player. Other records I bought include Anytime by Eddie Fisher (1951), Memories are Made of This by Dean Martin (1955), and then rock n roll hit! That is when I bought Rock Around the Clock by Bill Haley and the Comets. All hell broke lose when Elvis came unto the scene in 1956! My favorite Elvis song was I Want You, I Need You, I Love you. I remember sitting in front of the TV with my parents watching Elvis first TV appearance. Yes, I had a huge crush on him. I got a portable 45 rpm record player and bought ALL the rock n roll records, including all the artists on Sun Records, Elvis' first record label. Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, Gene Vincent, Little Richard, Fats Domino were only a few of the many stars of the day. I stacked all the records on the spindle and played them every day. It was a crazy, magnificent time to be alive!
My first concert was Elvis in 1971. I was 30. There weren't many concerts in Minn in the 50s and in the 60s I was married and raising babies in suburbia. I was kinda disappointed. I had a seat on the floor, but way back and I started to walk toward the front to take a picture and was stopped by security. In those days, there was no jumbotrons. I love going to concerts now. Gotta be down front where the frenziness happens. I have seen Adam 5 times, 2 were with Queen.
My first celebrity crush was Marlon Brando. I was 12 and loved the movie The Wild One (1953). A funny quote from the movie: A girl asks him what he's rebelling against. And he answers, What you got? Next came James Dean in Rebel Without a Cause in 1955. However, James was killed before the movie opened. Then my biggest crush Elvis in 1956. Yep, the big three photos were plastered all over my walls in the 50s, Elvis, Brando and Dean. Thankfully, Adam came along so I could experience those crazy feelings again.

First concert was Sly and the Family Stone in Philadelphia. My sister took me. Love Sly and the Family Stone. I have their LP as well. I also love Sly and the Family Stone. I'm a breast cancer survivor, and the facilitator for a support group that I belong to worked as a musical tech for a while in California (she now lives in New Mexico). She worked a lot with Sly and the Family Stone (probably was involved with that LP you mention), and says that Sly was just the most wonderful guy to work with.
