I also had a big crush on David Cassidy! "CHERISH IS THE WORDS I USE TO DESCRIBE" was my go to teenage heartache song! I also had a crush on Bobby Sherman who started in the TV series "Here comes the Brides" and sang the show's theme song "Seattle". Checking Wikipedia, the show was on 1968-1970. Since The Partridge Family, with David Cassidy, was on TV 1970-1974, Bobby Sherman was my first celebrity crush and David Cassidy my second. I remember Bobby Sherman well! He was my sister's favorite and we shared a room, so our walls were papered with pictures of both David Cassidy and Bobby. My second album was The Partridge Family's Greatest Hits, so I had quite the eclectic early record collection, lol. Actually, not much has changed, lol!

When I was 10 years old, I LOVED the "Bay City Rollers" , so the first album that I got was one of them, I think it was "Wouldn't you like it"?! (... as a record!) Of course my first celebrity crush was their singer Les Mc Keown! (... the second from left, the one with the open jacket, lol!!!) My first concert was in the mid-eighties, "Simple Minds" in Hamburg!
And I add one more categorie, the last album that I got this summer (because it was on my birthday-wishlist!) was "Where is the love" from "Mousse T." (... as a CD)!
I think it's a great album, I really love it and listen to it every day!
I also have it as a playlist on my spotify, here is the link!

Since the topics are open, just for fun, share your answers to the following questions: What was the first album you bought? In what format? (record, 8 track, cassette, CD, digital) What was the first live concert you attended? (Not including local groups/musicians) Who was your first celebrity crush? My answers: First album = Meet the Beatles LP vinyl First concert: The Association Celebrity crush= Paul McCartney As a young child, my first album was The Sound Of Music soundtrack as a record. As a 15 year old, my first "adult" album was Deep Purple in Rock, also in record format.
UFO, Newcastle City Hall. If they're not well known enough to count, the concert after that was AC/DC at The Mayfair Ballroom, Newcastle.
Davy Jones of the Monkees - never been so obsessed since until Adam!

My answers: First album = Meet the Beatles LP vinyl First concert: The Association Celebrity crush= Paul McCartney Oh fun! My first musical crush (at 12) was Kate Bush. At 14 I even had a poster of her hanging in my room: Turned out not to be a crush but true love, since I still love her to this day. But interestingly hers wasn't the first album I bought - it was the cassette One Step Beyond by Madness (at 12 or 13). Still a fun listen. My first concert was at 14, an Israeli band called Tislam. I remember a boy I had a crush on lifted me on his shoulders But an international act - at 17 or 18 I saw Dire Straits here in Jerusalem, so maybe that concert was the first. It was impressive. I never really had a celebrity crush till Adam Perhaps David Bowie? I admired him immensly, but I never tried to know anything about his personal life. When he died, some friends and family members called me to actually offer their condolences, as if we were related... And it's true I was extremely sad. Betty: these dark chocolate and orange cakes...

First album that I bought was probably John Denver-Rocky Mountain High but I had a slew of 45's before that which I think the first was Nickelodeon. LOL as in "put another nickel in, in the Nickelodeon" not the TV channel. I had really weird stuff like Hang on Sloopy, Snoopy and the Red Baron. Actually may still have that box of 45's around if I didn't toss it during the last move. I did toss the eight track tapes.
First concert was John Denver. Not until college because I grew up poor and having seen TV coverage of the Beatles I had no wish to spend my money on a live concert when I could hear the artist much better on a record.
First celebrity crush was either William Shatner (Kirk form original Star Trek) or Davy Jones of the Monkees. Oops, no just looked it up and by the times they were on probably Robert Conrad from Wild, Wild West was first. Of course I was only 4 or 5 at the time so I barely knew what a crush was but him and the stars of most of the Westerns around that time were the beginnings of my crushes.

Officials and news media reported many instances of nudity and indecent exposure. These activities are repulsive and bring about influences that contribute to moral decay and set in motion the destruction of the higher values of life." LOL -something never change. first big single headliner concert: Oak Ridge Boys or Alabama, not sure which was first...
