Such a fun topic this morning..wish I could play. I grew up in Germany with my grandmother...we had no TV until I was almost 10. We didn't have a record player, so no celebrity crushes for me. We listened to the radio a lot, and I loved music, but did all my own singing lol.
My first crush was a bit different. I started reading in 1st grade, and was a voracious reader at a very early age. When I was about 7 or so I discovered a series of books by Karl May, a German writer. He wrote about the adventures of an Indian named Winnetou and his white blood brother. I fell in love with Winnetou and his horse, and vowed at that age to someday marry a Native American....true story. I came to America when I was 12, and discovered my Dad's country music record collection....johnny Cash, Hank Williams Sr, etc. I wasn't a big TV watcher, still a reader...no celebrity crushes.
I was a weird kid, very much a loner and an introvert....no concerts....way too many people.
I did however meet my Native American dream...in the form of my blonde husband lol...he has Native American ancestors on both his Mom's and Dad's sides...
Weird kid.

I actually never was a music fan. I was a sports girl and my first celebrity crush was a football (=soccer) player. My love for Queen‘s music must have come from that as well (We are the Champions/We will Rock you 🙂).
I was never into the boybands or Michael Jackson like my classmates. While they danced to Take That, I spent my afternoons in different sports clubs and played football, handball or did athletics. I did sports up to 7 days a week, until football became my main obsession. I even made it into our U16 Berlin-Team and later into the first division for women in Germany (Bundesliga). Although our coach absolutely wanted me to stay, I dialed back and decided to play in our 2nd team. I always played for fun and the training sessions in the first team were absolutely hard (I had just turned 16, had just come from the youth team and was still in school). Without real ambition, I stayed an amateur (happily) and today I‘m a teacher and I’m also responsible for our school‘s football team (unfortunately all boys 😉).
So, in a way, I was the opposite/ female version of Adam: I was an outsider, because I wasn’t into music, fashion ect. I played football, a sport, that girls usually didn’t play. (It’s better today.) And I looked for some of my teenage years more like a boy than a girl.
So back to topic. Although I wasn’t really into music, I listened to it, mainly the radio in our house. For a long time I only owned children’s music. I loved for instance the „Mini Stars“. As explanation: Kids were singing to the original music of international stars In German. The lyrics were not translated, but written for children. I think, it made it easier to connect with the music, because until you’re a teenager in Germany you don’t understand English lyrics. (And often not even then). Maybe that’s also a reason for very repetitive lyrics in most pop tunes: It’s easier to understand for non-English speakers. 😉
The first album I owned was from David Hasselhoff „David“. I got it for my 11. (?) birthday. (1990). The first one I bought myself was: The Kelly Family „Over the Hump“ 1995. My first concert was laaaate: Runrig. (I was 31) My first celebrity crush (apart from a football player): Paddy Kelly (today: Michael Patrick Kelly) from the Kelly Family. Just saw him on Thursday again in a concert.
Actually, I only attended a Queen concert, because I always liked their music without knowing more about the band or their new singer. And now I‘m here. Adam caught me, even though I had been sitting high up in one of the cheapest seats of the arena in Berlin in 2015. And sorry for my long answer.

First album: Meet the Beatles. I think I paid around $2.80 for it and I remember my older sis telling me to take it back and get my money back because this group wasn't going to be good.
First crush: Paul McCartney of course. Dennis Wilson was a close second.
First concert: Herman's Hermits. Followed by the Beatles two weeks later in Memorial Coliseum. It was non-stop screaming from beginning to end. Didn't hear a word they sang.
Favorite movie: To Kill A Mockingbird.

Kim sensing a theme here! My first album, bought with my newspaper route money, was Meet the Beatles. First concert was the Beatles in Boston Garden. We were in the next to last row in the second balcony at the opposite end of the arena. We could actually hear them over the screaming because of the sound bouncing off the back wall, I guess.
I had a mild crush on George Harrison for a while. I then became a huge Stones fan and was the weird kid in school, haha. My first really big crush before Adam was David Bowie, and we nearly were divorced over that :( . C’est la vie.

Gosh......it was so long ago...lol. I think my first vinyl album was probably a soundtrack album....Sound of Music, West Side Story but I had 45s before that like Jailhouse Rock from Elvis. Like Rihannsu, I think I still have them in a box somewhere. First big concert was probably a "Shower of Stars" show put on by a Birmingham Al radio station. I remember seeing Herman's Hermits and Lou Christie. The highlight was Lou Christie's dancing moves. At that time they were very risque...kinda like Tom Jones...lol. I think I was around 12. First celebrity crush was probably Connie Stevens or maybe Debbie Reynolds. I used to love to go to the grocery store with my mother and while she was shopping I'd spend the whole time looking thru the movie star magazines. Remember Photoplay? lol There were several others...can't remember now. If there was one that featured either Connie or Debbie, I'd buy that one and take it home. I liked Elvis...but never was head over heels......not like now with Adam. My favorite movies growing up were Gone with the Wind, To Kill a Mockingbird and Bridge over River Kwai (I was 8 years old for this one and remember driving all the way to Birmingham to see it. My dad was a Marine in the Pacific during WWII and he loved it so I loved it too). Oh....and Bambi....probably the first movie I saw.

Yes, I noticed he followed her on Instagram and thought Adam was probably with them.
