I just saw Adam on ET in a tease for Simon Cowell. Maybe we'll see or hear a little more in a bit.
Well we got a couple of poses....and his name mentioned along with Kelly and Katherine McPhee.

Isn't fair. ? Wow that sounds like a bit of entitlement .It's Adam's life.. He said a mouthfull IMHO.. read between the lines..Things are not going smoothly.. Adam is a singer and song writer His life is to entertain, for some reason He can't put out music of his own right now..I really feel for him.. IMO he has a lot of grief going on.. I for one don't expect more than Adam can give.. after all I just buy his music and go to as many shows as I can afford. He owes me nothing . Adam can't tell his fans what goes on behind the scenes.. But he has said ,in so many words ,that the business is very difficult. There have been many articles published about how unfair and miserable the music business is.. Many have been posted here on Adamtopia.I have time to wait I'm a fan for life... It's his life, true, but it isn't fair blaming the fans. And since Adam said over and over that new music is coming this year, I feel pretty certain that he does have a label, so I don't share the view that he's that misrable behind the scenes. Do labels actually make artists sign such iron clad gag contracts, as if national security is on the line? Or is it that hush-hush only in Lambertland? I don't know what most labels do. However, I have a son in the music biz - indie, small label - and even these small labels have times when the artist is not allowed to speak about upcoming albums. One of my son's albums was complete, even mastered, art work complete, etc and his band had to not talk about it for most of a year. Indie being indie, though, they were playing some of the new songs in their touring set.
Another typically indie thing is that they tour when an album comes out, in between albums, when they don't have much, if anything, new, and so on. In a way I wish Adam could do this. There'd be Adam concerts a lot more often. But that does not seem to be the way mainstream, big label artists work.
peace&love

I doubt Adam would be this far into a studio album without a major label. We know he has a new management. So have to presume he has a major label. Alot of fans can be self entitled. And yeah I don't think its fans buisness really. Our responsibility is to buy his album and go to his concert.

Well, I'm not sure if it's fan entitlement as much as it is impatience for new music. We keep getting these little drips of information, have been for a while, and it's like following clues through a maze....lots of dead ends.
I think part of the problem is that we follow him so closely....when Anthony Callea (Australia) put out a new album a few years ago I was excited but didn't even realize it had been 5 years since the last one.
I'm sure Adam is as excited for us to hear the new music as we are to listen to it...just lots of background b.s. to wade through first.

Our responsibility is to buy and attend concerts? Fuck that! Entertainers are a business, they sell a product be it their music, their acting, their comedy routine, or whatever. Fans are the consumers, they are under no obligation nor are they required to ‘buy’ anything especially if the product that is being offered does not appeal to them.
