Adam chose to leave WBR/WMG, per my friend. He would not have left before he had another label and/or other options. Nobody can announce anything until all the legal ducks are in a row. He certainly can't release new music until then.

I haven't read all the comments here but I personally fill the wait between albums by doing my own thing and pursuing my own passions. Waiting is only hard if you only do that... wait. JMHO

Well, I'm not sure if it's fan entitlement as much as it is impatience for new music. We keep getting these little drips of information, have been for a while, and it's like following clues through a maze....lots of dead ends. I think part of the problem is that we follow him so closely....when Anthony Callea (Australia) put out a new album a few years ago I was excited but didn't even realize it had been 5 years since the last one. I'm sure Adam is as excited for us to hear the new music as we are to listen to it...just lots of background b.s. to wade through first. I think you make an excellent point about fans who follow someone so closely. Those of us who follow Adam on a daily basis are witnessing his life, day by day. Just like in our own lives, there are often gaps between major things that happen. That's why is seems like an interminable amount of time for this album. Just like what you said about Anthony Callea, I have heard about other artists I have known who may have an album coming out, and I have NO idea when their last one came out. So the time in between means nothing to me. I just see that they have a new album. That's all. It might have been one year or five years. Just because this album is a long time coming (to us), doesn't necessarily mean that there is anything wrong. And if there is, there is nothing we can do about it. Adam is dealing with it all. Lots of big-time singers have a long time between albums. It's not that unusual. I've decided to be optimistic and believe the album will come out when it's ready, and it will be great. I'm won't stew about something I can't control and don't know anything about. And I am in love with Adam's hair.

I doubt Adam would be this far into a studio album without a major label. We know he has a new management. So have to presume he has a major label. Alot of fans can be self entitled. And yeah I don't think its fans buisness really. Our responsibility is to buy his album and go to his concert. Fans are self entitled? What the artist does is not a fans business? Our responsibility is to buy and attend concerts? Fuck that! Entertainers are a business, they sell a product be it their music, their acting, their comedy routine, or whatever. Fans are the consumers, they are under no obligation nor are they required to ‘buy’ anything especially if the product that is being offered does not appeal to them. Agree with that...that's why most artists try so hard to keep fans engaged.
