Well I was at Morongo---- persuaded my DH to take me to the desert on that foggy night. Not sure what it was, the soft rain, the beautiful man with the big hat dressed all in white, the collective hush from theccrowd when his shirt lit up from his open jacket or maybe the intimacy of the casino itself, but it remains the most magical night I've seen Adam perform since 2009--- and I've been fortunate to see quite a few. He sang Wicked Game that night. What can I say? And when he tossed the mike down after There I've Said It , everyone erupted in massive applause. It was clear that Adam needn't be expaiining or apologizing for being exactly who he was! I guess that's why I was cringing last night while I was sitting in the Balboa Theater listening to Adam being asked-----yet again about his AI days and realizing the interviewer was focusing on asking him about his sexuality ---- when there were so many things going on in his life and career! Adam was his usual sweet ,charming self ( even a bit naughty when he remarked that his droopy mike might need an ED pill !) Nevertheless it was a great night because it's always a JOY to see Adam. And.... I'll always have Morongo.

AnnAdoresAdam . Great idea re. ''Live' concert screening of QAL. I have seen over 40 'live link' productions in the last year, at our local art house theatre/cinema. This form of viewing is demonstrably more and more popular by the week. All classical pieces - just about everything available from the New York Met and the London Opera House....opera and ballet....some European opera. Love this way to see a performance; can see every detail. Nothing can beat actually being there but the amazing sound and camerawork gives an extra viewpoint/insight that is otherwise not possible. The backstage tours of the NY Met in the interval are stunning and the interviews with stars still breathless from their exertions...I can imagine Adam and Roger and Brian... I would LOVE to see QAL this way but it's probably not a runner. (And how nice to see a live link production where everyone doesn't die in the end ) I have no idea if it would affect concert ticket sales or not - perhaps it would work as one big enticement to see them truly live.

For some reason there is no option to deliver VIP tickets from MSG 7 August to countries other than the US or Canada which prevented us from buying the tickets we liked at first. You can choose for print at home tickets so delivery should not even be a problem! Luckily we were able to buy other tickets, but they are a few rows back. We only wanted VIP Fan Seats which were not even that much more than the standard tickets, but it was the front row of the section.
Ticketmaster is not replying to me on Twitter about this not even through the Fan Support account. Which is causing some bad feelings with me even though I should be happy about being able to attend the concert.

A Morongo vid showed up in the thread last week, and then on the base page of Instagram. It got me diving into vids from that concert last week. So TRUE! This song, sung the way it was, is truly a fav of mine, that really causes a physical reaction within me. That concert was a showcase ... and a shift from previous concerts. I wish I had been there. It was a truly special representation of the specialness of Adam as a performer, and a quality to his voice that was not always evident in other concerts. There seemed to be a fierce force and an also an opposing softness with the lighting, the voice, the light clothing....that I Looooved. The words of the song so clearly sung, ringing with his truth. When he threw the mike down...the look on his face was a significant moment in my appreciation of the words crafted for a song...he really meant it! ( Tired of having to always talk about it...let me live my life).
True. At this stage of his life and as long as he has been open in the business, unless he is speaking to LGBT youth or promoting LGBT causes and awareness, his sexuality should no longer be the biggest topic of surprise or interest for everyone else. They certainly allow some of the others to promote their works and allow people to hear and see their talent. I think Adam's huge talent, charisma and stage presence deserve as much or more big recognition. I love TISI. One of the songs Adam co-wrote with depth and meaning. And he sings it beautifully with such emotion. Just wish the general public had been able so see some of his best work. And he did have some really good work on all of his albums. TISI, Runnin, Chokehold, Underneath, Broken Open, Sleepwalker, Lucy, Can't Let You Go, just to name a few of my favorites. And how handsome does he look in that video with the natural colored facial hair that does not take over and hide his gorgeous face?
