twitter.com/Queerty/status/1128790213507993601Queerty @queerty VIDEO: Adam Lambert drops killer video for “New Eyes” - More at: bit.ly/2W8g8EL Channeling ’70s glam and serious Hozier vibes (we mean that as a compliment), Adam Lambert has just released “New Eyes,” the first video and single from his upcoming 4th album Velvet. The song certainly feels in line with how the Queen frontman described his new sound to Echo Magazine: “I didn’t know exactly what I wanted to do for a minute, as far as my solo career. Now, I’ve explored some new sounds and some new concepts and I’m on the course to put something out, but it took a second to discover that for myself, for this project. I was really digging, trying to find some authenticity. The most authentic sound and style that I could. There’s a lot of reference to Glam-Rock and Classic Rock of the ‘70s and the early ‘80s.” Check out the video, directed by Miles & AJ, below:

I can't relate to the 70's either, but if Adam is feeling that era that's fine with me. However, I do love the sultry and sensual vibe of the song. It's probably not the typical "love song" but I find it very alluring and sexy. Not feeling any sexy, but maybe I'll feel the sexy when I see him do it live haha. Probably doesn't help that you can't understand any of the lyrics as you're listening to it. I like being able to actually understand the lyrics of a song, sue me lol. There is a vast catalog of Adam songs that I love, so not getting one or two is no problem. I adore the guy and will certainly do my part to support him. It's just a little bit disappointing that he went from Feel Something to this song and my excitement for new music kind of fizzled after hearing it. But that's my issue, not his...I'm happy that he's able to do and create what he wants...I want authentic Adam, whatever that may be at any given moment. I can imagine that it must feel a bit "deflating" for you to not like the song, after all the build-up and anticipation. Cool though that your are honest and still supportive and that you recognize how important it is for Adam to have creative freedom. Cheers!!

There must be a lot of people not understanding the lyrics. There are presently 7 YouTube lyric videos of New Eyes.

I just want to thank the people who said they enjoyed the song without the video. I liked the song but I listened without the video for the first time and I am swooning. It was the video throwing me off and keeping me from fully committing. I'm sorry, but I did not care for his look in the video. And I did not care about the characters at all. I just didn't enjoy the concept and it did not feel like a love song. But I am really feeling it now. It made a big difference for me. I am happy, lol. Still love Feel Something with or without visuals. I was just thinking to myself, if I wanted a story, I'd just want a damn movie. When it comes to Adam, I just want to see and hear him sing. No side show needed. And I think my problem was also that I hyped myself up for this release so it's just disappointing to get something that doesn't touch my soul in any way. Too bad but at the end of the day it's just one song. One of many.
