Looks like Adam's reply about drug use portrayed in the video has really upset some people. glambertparty : Stating my peace then taking a giant step back from the fandom. No more walking on eggshells. /photo/1 Some people have way to much time on their hands to angst... The purity police need to take a step back and sure I get the whole one step thing but it's a f*ing video for a song. Get a grip to quote A "it's not that deep"

Looks like Adam's reply about drug use portrayed in the video has really upset some people. I'm confused, are they meaning his Tune in turn on drop out reply or did I miss some other comment he made? I don't see anything nasty in that comment if it is that one, certainly didn't come across as a nasty attack or not needing fans, what am I missing?

I don't quite get it either and I didn't see anything from Adam that struck me as offensive or rude. I guess it comes down to the fact that not everybody likes everything that he creates or does or says. C'est la vie!! I am sure that Adam will gain a good number of new fans with this new era

I really do not understand part of this complaint -- I get the concern about drugs, but drugs/escapism that is not a new topic for Adam. It is a running theme since long before Idol.
But how was Adam being exclusive (not inclusive) and rude? Did I miss something?

Regarding the 1970 - for better or worse, the 1970's are "it" right now. A major force in fashion, music, and culture.
The 1970's produced some of the best music ever and yet somehow it feels like the forgotten decade. And usually gets mocked for the worst of disco. 1970's gave us - heavy metal, arena rock, hip hop, punk rock, salsa, electronic music, techno and disco, pop funk, modern country rock, progressive rock, new wave, etc. There was probably more music innovation in the 70's than any other decade of my life.

I do like the new single, it takes a few listens to get into the groove and I still keep hoping for him to sing something the way he does Queen songs, no wispy falsetto and more power but I'm loving how he seems to have a definite aim in mind with his new music and that he seems more focused on the creativity than whether it will be massively successful. I really thought he was very open on his twitter party and seems in a really good place so regardless if I love everything he puts out I'm happy for him. Feel something was a definite first listen love, especially the live vid, must admit I prefer him just standing there singing to the new video, not really feeling that at all but it might grow on me once he releases the follow on one's and the story unfolds more.

No...but being a fan doesnt mean being a sheep and blindly yes-ing everything. I've never been drawn to Adams Party, escapism side much. I accept it and wish him the best but it's just Not something i can relate to much or "understand", it's just not how i work. I understand that it's something i don't understand and it's also ok. Adam has opened my eyes that way. Just to point it out that Adam has never referred to those times as his glory times. The message that sometimes you have to go through the mud to come Out the other side is important though.

Get a grip to quote A "it's not that deep" Yeah I agree, some people are just looking for something to have a moan about. The theme of smoking was the sense I Got, was the lifestyle of being in a club. And being in your angst. But their was barley much drug usage in the MV. And how many other artists MV have much worser? IT was not excessive or anything, nor did I Think the MV was glorifying Drug Usage. Quite absurd really. And I Don't think it takes much to understand that club aspect of Adams life. That is a part of his life. But as with the Feel Something song. He is not one dimensional, their is variety.
