Adam Lambert I'm excited to share my new messenger with you! Sign up here to get regular updates and more!! m.me/AdamLambert ETA: it's a bit weird, but it seems it's some kind of bot like thing on Messenger. When you subscribe you get a link to Adam's 'This Is Adam Lambert' Spotify playlist, a link to his website and a link to his merc store (which doesn't work). It will be fun to see what he will do with it from here on.

I know I'm a terrible fan for saying this, but I don't feel it's my "job" to keep track of Adam's music charting, or keeping track of streams...that's what his management or people are supposed to do. I will do my part by buying and/or streaming, but beyond that it becomes a chore. I know nothing about what Adam and his people have projected as far as sales/streams, or what their strategy is for releasing singles, or the release of the album, or what radio does or doesn't do...why stress every day? I know we all love him and want him to do "well", but whose definition of "doing well" are we using? I want to enjoy Adam's music, I love his voice...I don't want it to be a chore. All of the above, only my opinion. I really, truly admire those of you who are so involved in pushing his music. To me it's not a chore either. I have Spotify running in the background on my computer. I've muted the sound through my volume mixer so it's not bothering me and it will stream as long as I have my computer turned on. YouTube I use my playlist, but I also go to Adam's channel and play it from there a couple of times per day. I also have that tab muted or will unmute it if I want to listen to it. I have subscribed to Apple Music last week on my phone for a free trial for 3 months and made a playlist there as well with New Eyes and some other Adam songs. I play that a couple of times per day if I think about it. Sometimes with the earplugs in the phone so it doesn't bother me either, but more often I have that on low volume running if I walk around the house or cycle home from work. I love working with numbers and it's interesting to me how everything reacts to the promo and other stuff. New Eyes is increasing in streams the last two days while Feel Something was dropping from the start. That shows me that more people are checking it out than Feel Something. Of course the promo for it is a bit more, but it hasn't been that much yet. I have a feeling there is lots more to come! We definitely have not seen the last of it yet! I also love to watch the promotional response of songs -- and numbers!
The difference in the trajectory of these two tracks is interesting.
FS - lots of core fan love, no sign of any viral spread.
NE - not as much core fan love, but more viral spread. Particularly notable on YT and Spotify.

NE is already at 47% of FS video views.
Granted FS did not have a music video or a live TV performance, but it was promoted in media and online to leverage the Oscar performance on February 24, 2019. Oscars >>>>>>>>>> Idol Finale.

For the stream count on Spotify it doesn't matter how you play it yes. If you put it on repeat, in a playlist or just play it now or then Spotify doesn't care. All streams will be added to the stream count of the song. However repeat plays are vetted for the charts. Some think your account may get flagged even if you put it on repeat. From other artists experiences they heard that only 1 stream was counted for some people. I don't have the right info for that, but there are articles where they say that streams are looked at before they count for the charts. Seems like a no brainer then to play NE on repeat, at least until it starts to chart, which might happen after it's been televised performed live somewhere. NE is likely to chart for the week ending today/Monday.

So Old Town Road - Remix that Q3 talked about is by Lil Nas X & Billy Ray Cyrus. It definitely has an old tyme throwback feel and did you see how many times peeps on twitter et al said that Adam looked like Billy Ray during his Idol appearance? For those that like to tweet I think there's got to be some value in cross referencing other songs, singers, fan bases. Hey, do you think Adam Lambert meant to look like Billy Ray Cyrus during his #NewEyes debut? Billy Ray's OTR song has that throw back vibe too. Must be in the water. etc On what the next songs on the album are about, I felt he insinuated there were some sexy, making out, on the prowl, single and mingleing type songs still in the mix so I don't expect a 1 begets 2 begets 3 in order type rollout. MV is music video to me, not MoVie. From the Billboard article linked earlier today www.billboard.com/articles/business/8512730/hollywood-music-movies-billboard-cover-story-2019?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social I thought this was a WOW statement. In the six months following the debut of Bohemian Rhapsody, on-demand streams of Queen’s music more than tripled compared with the six months prior to its opening -- from 588 million to 1.9 billion. Sales were even stronger, with tracks jumping from 527,000 to 1.9 million units and albums rising 483%, from 184,000 to 1.1 million units. That amounts to nearly $18 million in revenue versus the $4.4 million that Queen’s catalog had earned in the preceding six months, Billboard estimates.

After listening to the conversation about streaming. I left my Spotify list as it is and will continue with that playlist. But I changed my Amazon. I had 15 songs on rotation. So I removed TISI, Runnin, FYE, WWFM, ALN and one GT and added 2 more NE. So that leaves me with 1GT, 4FS, 6NE
