Weird. I don't see the post from Cassie anymore which exactly mirrored my feelings about this whole discussion. I have copied the relevant part from another device
"There are many things I find attractive about Adam as an artist and a person. But the thing that really captured me ten years ago was his voice. I fell in love with it completely.
While Adam has the right to do whatever he wants artistically and personally, I don't hear that VOICE in his latest music. The sound does not capture my heart or soul. It is not something I want to listen to repeatedly. Just my opinion, my response. don't know about others."
Considering Adam was my muse for writing the article I posted the other day on Magical Voice, I feel the same way. Yet, I will defend Adam's vision and creative juice to the end. He must be free. Having just seen him in person, even with songs that don't bring out, ironically, the velvet that I love, he is irresistable, increible, charismatic Adam and he puts those songs over brilliantly. But do I crave listening to them otherwise? Not really.
I have no doubt songs will emerge that I love and no doubt there will be continuing evolution of who he is now. So I ain't going anywhere and I will stream (with an iPad running continuously in another room) and support in any way I can.

So I ain't going anywhere and I will stream (with an iPad running continuously in another room) and support in any way I can. I'm a fan for life, but here we go. Adam's claim to fame is his BIG voice. That BIG clear voice that just soars and never misses a note. That one-in-a-billion voice. He still has it, and I'm waiting for him to start using it again SOON. It's an attention-grabber, a heart-throbber, a fan-pleaser, a gift that attracts non-fans who know nothing about his EXCEPT that voice. It's the voice that people heard on Idol, the one people heard on the Oscars, the one people heard at the Kennedy Honors, etc. As a singer, Adam has the GREATEST MARKETING TOOL any singer could have: a gloriously big voice. We're waiting. And he knows we're waiting. And while we're streaming and viewing, we're waiting.

Some perspective on radio play vs streaming qz.com/1659487/is-rolling-stones-new-music-chart-worth-paying-attention-to/I read through their new top 500 list, interesting group of artists. I have figured out how to use Spotify's web based player to stream almost constantly, the app always froze up my computer. My current CIH list, mixed with other songs is here: open.spotify.com/playlist/37i9dQZF1DX2zsdpDHp0xICIH has taken a different track and hit different playlists than NE and while it didn't get on the Australian new music friday playlist it did get on the American one which has a lot more followers. It's been marketed completly differently. Adam could have released both songs and done his promo tour with them both instead of dropping CIH after the promo was over. I think some of these songs are ripe for a remix, NE always sounds too slow for me, and it's remixes that can sometimes be the big break.

I agree also miss the big voice...will love and support him always... For me, it's not just the big voice, it is the velvet voice. The luxurious seamless, flawless flow of gorgeous sound with its richness and overtones and expressiveness. I love the glory notes but even more I love being wrapped in that sound - that voide - that resonantes in every pore of my being and takes me to a different world - a voice for the ages.

cassie's post/comment is at the end of yesterday's thread, in case that's the one that many agree with.
