Awww, I like Brian's IG message...how special would it be to do something that's still remembered that many years later?
And to think I would have missed all that if it hadn't been for Adam.

Javi's posting more IGs from San Francisco. Looks like a funky part of town. Calendar Theatre? This is outside the Castro Theater on Castro Street in SF which still functions as a movie theater and more. Some info from their website - www.castrotheatre.com/The Castro Theatre was built in 1922 by pioneer San Francisco theatre entrepreneurs, the Nasser brothers, who started with a nickelodeon in 1908 in the Castro neighborhood. The Castro was built at a cost of $300,000. The Castro's designer was Timothy L. Pflueger (1894-1946) who went on to become a famous Bay Area architect. In 1977, the Castro was designated City of San Francisco registered landmark number 100. It is one of the few remaining movie palaces in the nation from the 1920s that is still in operation.

Javi's posting more IGs from San Francisco. Looks like a funky part of town. Calendar Theatre? It looks like they aren't going for the touristy stuff and instead are checking out neighborhoods. I see a picture of "Twin Peaks", which is always a bit covered in fog and closer to the Pacific, and the theater at the bottom is the Castro Theater, which is in the heart of SF's lively and very well established "gay district", called "The Castro". I was there not too long ago for a movie screening. ( bamafan, I see that the event calendars are out for grabs at the entrance, as your were wondering about "Calendar Theatre" ). Really cool area with numerous bars, clubs, eateries, and opportunities for people watching. I have no doubt that they will have a fun night out. Adam and Javi are probably staying at one of the high end hotels near the financial district in the center of town. pi , once I posted my comment I realized that you already commented about the Castro Theater. Sorry for the repeat.

Sorry for the repeat. No worries.. I haven't been there in ages, so you were able to fill in a lot more from more recent personal experience which gives a better flavor of that area.
