Adam acts casual ,but I'm sure he wants his music to be loved and to have millions of people listen, stream, youtube and buy.. Who wouldn't want to be a roaring success in the music busines.. I think fans can sure help with making Velvet a success. starting by giving his new songs lots of hits...If you love him ,support him, in anyway you can...I , don't want to see a depressed Adam. Not many folks buying his new song Give The People What They Want... WTF .I bought it while also streaming.. It just came out midnight...maybe we should give people a chance to actually find out about it? I've been gone all day, just now bought it on Itunes. Not everybody has the time or opportunity to push that buy button immediately on release. Just saying. JMHO the success or lack of success of Give the People What They Want does not matter that much. They Playmobile movie is not The Lion King or even the LEGO movie.
There are hundreds of these animated movie songs, almost all are part of the movie, not singles.
If you want to help Adam, then buy and stream the tracks from his album and do not spend any major effort on GTP. It will not be a hit, it will not chart, and it will not be played on the radio.
If you love this song, or just love Adam's voice on anything (like me), please buy it.
But please, do not lose sight of the big game for Adam (and his fans) -- Velvet needs a hit and needs to sell so he can do a solo tour.

I wonder if Adam had to practice the song? Or if there even is any way to practice something like that? Like Toramenor stated, there is so much happening in a little over 2 minutes, it seems to me that it would be difficult to replicate. Somebody should ask Lino (or maybe already have and I missed it). Forgot to say earlier (in my very lengthy post lol) that I really enjoyed reading that interview, especially all the little extras (luggage, hair etc). Very enjoyable read... Definitely practiced, played with the song, tried different stylings, watched clips of the character, talked with the director and composers, and probably recorded several different versions. In the recent interview he said he tried a nuanced version but the director said he wanted more, more, more. I believe Adam dedicates himself to whatever song he is going to perform and plays with it, tweaks it, reimagines it until he finds the perfect version. My question is, when creating animated films like this, do the actors/singers record the vocals first and then the illustrators match the voice, or vice versa?Funny that you asked this. I asked the same question of a friend of mine at Disney and he said -- traditionally that for most dialog, they do the main images to set the character/scene (usually for a major file they create an animatic -- which is a moving storyboard), then record the voices, then do the animation. For songs it is the same, they provide some sketches or images to the vocalist, record the song, then animate. At Disney, they have the voice actors, act out the parts and motions and use that to inform the animation.
So the simplified sequence is:
Characters designed Animatic (a rough motion sequence of a limited number illustrations timed to match the scene) Voice and songs recorded, actors motions and expressions captured Preliminary sound mix
Animation Additional audio recording if needed Final sound mix
