Thank you all who supported my rattle last night. That was comforting. I want to respond to some of the other points made, but I don't have much time now. Got to go to work.
One thing though: Clubs and bars? Really? You think that Gift From God will really be satisfied by singing in clubs and bars? After he performed in Arenas and Stadiums with Queen?
Maybe it's also time for some to come out of your US bubble. You are so lucky that Adam lives in your country. Almost all the performances Adam did in the last year were in the US (and Australia and UK a bit). None of that was news in my country (except for the Oscars of course). You will be able to see him for sure. I bet the shows Adam was talking about he will be doing in the fall will be in the US again. But think about the rest of the world. I haven't seen Adam perform solo in over 3 years. There are countries were he never comes. South America has been longing for him for years already. Even Canada is left out from his solo career tours.

Adam has toured in mainly midsize venues and mostly theaters for his US solo tours. I was saying I did not think that would change. The clubs and bars were in reference to other Idols. I was only wondering how they supported themselves. If you were not referencing my comment then never mind, lol. "Any indie artist can tour if they choose to. Adam likely still has more than enough fans to tour solo in theaters even without a radio hit. I see no reason why it would change now with all the attention he has been receiving as the Queen frontman. He has never dropped out of sight and has had performances on national tv as himself and without Queen. His fans are still engaged and keeping up with him. Maybe the tours won't be as long or maybe they will. But it makes me wonder how indie Idol artists who are playing clubs and bars and lounges to 200 to 300 people on a good day, and stream only in the thousands, support themselves. They are not on tv nor getting much press. They are charging $20 to get in the bar/club and they still have a band to pay. How does that even work? I guess some have working wives which may help but still."

Just because he's in the US doesn't mean he's any more accessible.

Even Canada is left out from his solo career tours. In my US bubble I've seen Adam perform twice, once solo, once as QAL (10 hours 650 miles away). Just because he's in the US doesn't mean he's any more accessible. Not in person, but in the US he has been on TV regularly for the past year or so. The rest of the world didn’t get that. We often can’t even watch the official videos on YT. Fans can get around that, although it’s sometimes not easy, but casual watchers outside the US were not even able to watch „Believe“. The same goes for the release of printed media: nothing (apart from the UK). In my country (Germany) Adam the celebrity is close to non existant. If some media tweets about him, it’s usually some tiny niche side with not much traffic at all. I can imagine, that in other countries it’s similar or even less exposure. Adam had two (minor) hits here, but has completely vanished from the surface for years, apart from the occasional Queen tour, which doesn’t really make the news either. He still has the foot in the door, but he needs much more exposure (hopefully through his new music), if he wants to open the door a bit more again. I understand, that Adam is an American and that’s his first market. He came to be known there from Idol. All that huge exposure he never had here. I think, some fans from other countries simply fear, that if Adam’s new music isn’t going to be sufficiently successful in the US, there is no chance for it in the rest of the world. I‘m not really sure, if that’s still true for Adam, since he has a foot in the door in many countries. It’s just true in general, that an American artist, who doesn’t make the top charts in the US, doesn’t get radio play here. And without radio play and any exposure for years, a solo tour might not be possible. Therefore I‘m hopeful, that Adam and his team have a plan for Europe and the rest of the world to market his new album. It’s absolutely necessary. And I‘m confident, that this is already all planned out, because Shoshanna has mentioned, that Adam will be on promo tour over here next month.
