So what’s everyone fav from Velvet so far? Mines Stranger you are. Just so different. The hook gets stuck in my head. I wouldn’t mind it as a radio single. It is quite strange - as a whole, I think Superpower is the perfect song to represent the EP - vocals, instrumentation, guitar solo, attitude, video... And I love listening to it. But since it came out earlier, and I have listened to it so many times, I don't really consider it part of the EP, just like the other three songs of this era released before the EP came out. So when somebody asks me this question, my answer tends to be "besides SP, my favorites are Overglow and Stranger You Are". I love the atmosphere of Overglow, and the verses, but I feel the chorus could have been better - it feels a bit trivial to me. On the other hand, SYA has very interesting but not perfect verses, and the perfect (for me) chorus. When I got the Messenger question from Adam's account about my fave from the EP, I answered with "Superpower", because there is no way to convey the above madness in a single word... I know, I am hard to please

Billboard Pride @billboardpride Our October edition of #QueerNecessities has arrived! Check out new music from @adamlambert, @kimpetras & many more! blbrd.cm/OSdVRnAdam Lambert, “Superpower” This strutting opener from Adam Lambert’s newest release, Velvet: Side A, is an explosion of pure self-expression that sees him taking on a sexy, funk-driven, '70s rock sound that is unlike anything in his past work. He’s back and better than ever.

Today I decided to actually listen to the original 20th Century Boy by T-Rex. Turns out Adam not only skipped the whole second verse by repeating the first one, but the original chorus is "20th century TOY, I wanna be your BOY", not the other way round genius.com/T-rex-20th-century-boy-lyricsAnd of course the cat and the rat moving and talking got mixed up a few times in the Glam Nation Tour performances, but who cares...

And I think it helps when their labels don't allow them to get lost in the pop world even tho they still get radio play on those charts. But they get them entered in genres where they are not dominated by the the Mendes and Camilla's and Ariana's and Ed's and Taylor's of the world. I really wish I had more of a clue how this all works, in order to even state a qualified opinion. However, I believe that it is important for an artist to form a musical identify early on so that the label can invest in a straightforward strategy. It is my perception that Adam never much aspired to release rock or alternative music, and I remember from those Idol days that he wanted to make a "modern pop record", even though the judges especially Randy kept suggesting a rock album. Let's not forget that Adam auditioned to MJ's "Rock with You" before he impressed the judges with "Bohemian Rhapsody". After Idol, and "despite" some much raved about rock covers and the finale with Queen and Kiss, Adam persisted toward pop and released FYE as his first single... When WWFM became hugely successful he could have possibly switched lanes a bit toward pop/rock but as we know from the singles that followed, that did not happen. I am not complaining here. Adam likes to make pop music, but that has put him up against the usual suspects in the pop world. Now we finally have "Velvet", which to me is a huge step toward musical identity and cohesiveness in sound, yet every song is unique. For me his very best work yet. I agree with you. But I wasn't even thinking about Adam. He is not on a major now and that ship has long sailed for high charting and awards. So any radio play he can get, as an indie, in any format will be a plus, imo.

I don't get Billie eilish either! But i did apreciate her supporrting the climate strike beforehand and not just jumping on the bandwagon on the day it is, realizing it might help im popularity. (Yes i am talking to you Shawmila, as much as i love both of them)
I know she's americas Sweetheart but Taylor just doesn't strike my sympathy. Nonetheless the Fallon story sounds. I have two questions. Why would someone hold a camera in your face, when you wake up from narcosis??!!! Second: why would your team pitch the video to the show to show?!

Someone posted an article a while back about major problems in the physical distribution pipeline for albums. All I could find was a link to a billboard business article which I can't see because I don't have a business account. www.billboard.com/articles/business/8520211/indie-retailers-breakdown-cds-vinyl-fulfillment-record-storesBut the upshot was that there is a bottle neck in physical distribution as well as major problems with the ONE company managing pretty much ALL the labels distribution. This is affecting product making it to the stores so it is likely that Adam had no control over the delay in physical CD's being available. Thanks much!!!!!
