As the decade comes to an end.... What is your favorite Adam moment? 12.26.19 by Q3 It's odd, the decade will end* in a few days without much fanfare. But for me, the 2010's were the decade of Adam. * Yes, I know that mathematicians and historians will argue that the decade ends on December 31, 2020 (there is no year 0 on the European/Wesstern calendars). I get it. But according to one poll, the majority (65%) of Americans say the decade ends on Dec. 31, 2019, and the start of a new decade begins on Jan. 1, 2020. So, I'm going with that. You know, the 60's, 70's, 80's -- and soon, the 20's).
So what is your nomination for the top Adam moment of the nameless decade from January 1, 2010 through December 31, 2019?
I still have not decided what mine is but I promise to post it tomorrow.
In the meantime, post yours and we'll see what the ultimate winning pick is.

Ask me again in an hour, and I may have a different answer, but for now....
The EMAs and the first time Adam fronted Queen. Remember - first getting a hint of a rumor that Adam might be there? -Then that Adam might introduce someone? - Then, that Adam might sing with Queen, along with a bunch of other people? Gaga? - Then the rumor that he was heard during rehearsal with Queen? - Then, Queen is introduced and there is that very recognizable silhouette at the front of the stage (but with no introduction of Adam) and the first notes of the song with Adam's undeniable voice - The spotlight coming up and there was Adam in all his glory (with that Forest Gump hairdo) - Then expecting someone else to come on stage and take over the vocals, but he kept singing - An entire medley! - The audience going crazy
I was visiting my elderly parents at the time. They had NO INTERNET, and no computer. In order to watch the EMAs (I hoped), I borrowed my sister's laptop and bought a wifi connecter for $50 per month. The family was watching the Green Bay Packers football game (not to be interrupted!) and I was watching on this small screen using headphones. I was very calmly going CRAZY! My family knew I was a fan, but didn't really understand who this guy was and why he was a big deal.
After the game, they expressed interest in seeing the clip. I had to explain who Queen was, of course. And what a BIG DEAL it was for Adam. They watched the small screen with me on replay, and listened as best they could to the crappy laptop speakers. (And endured the buffering of the replay). My mom kept commenting on how good looking he was. My mom! At 86 years old! She was an accomplished musician and would have been impressed more if the sound was any good, but she got a taste of Adam.
I mention my mom because she was in the early stages of Alzheimer's at the time, tho' we did not have the diagnosis yet, just a suspicion. Mom was my best friend and always supported anything I was interested in, and for the next couple of years, when I would chat with her by phone long distance she would ask about "that singer" or "that boy" (the name wouldn't stick in her mind). It was one of the topics she would ask about whenever we got on the phone. Until she could no longer remember my love for Adam. That meant I was losing another part of Mom, another thing we had shared.
So, the EMAs have not only a special meaning for Adam and his career, but also for me personally.

For me it has to be the EMAs too.
The anticipation was unbearable - wondering what Adam would be doing.
Most of the day it seems we were just hoping to see Adam up there with the big stars, singing his allocated two lines of WATC while Gaga dominated.
And that was exciting enough! Lol.
And then, with.no fuss or introduction, there he was and history started.
I was even more hopeless with computers in those days and spent ages getting the EMAs on the screen, clicking like crazy - and I eventually got it but with a German Football commentary blasting in the background. Don’t know how I got two separate sounds but I was too scared of losing Adam to dare click anything off!
Even with 100000 football fans erupting over a goal half way through, he was just plain magnificent. My heart burst.
Newbies may like to read our longest day ever....

The EMAs for me too. It also brought me to this forum, as I was searching for online reactions to the performance and happened upon the 141 pages mentioned above. The rest is history, as I have been reading here every single day ever since. Second place on my list would be the Isle Of Wight performance of WWTLF.

The Isle of Wight performance is a biggie for me. I still watch that performance of WWTLF at least once a week. Also the Oscars this past year which made the list of LGBTQ celebrity moments of the year.
However I will have to go with Trespassing debuts at #1 for the first time ever by an openly gay solo artist. I still think that's crazy that he was the first. He still mentions it as one of his major accomplishments along with Queen. Billboard has it as one of their moments of the decade in music.
Love everything he has done. So proud of him and can't wait for the next 10 years!🤩

I was there at the Isle of Wight, close to the stage, and I can honestly say that it was immediately obvious that this was a special WWTLF. The audience was gripped and moved like never before - breathtaking. Only time it made me cry.

I have to agree that the EMA’s were the beginning of all the magic—- all the POSSIBILITIES of all that was to come. Standing there in the shadows, no introduction needed—- that awesome air of mystery... But I have to say it was Kiev— Adam standing there in front of the masses on that magical night! To this day, when I ache to hear his voice, I still go back to that concert and listen to Adam duet with Roger—-Under Pressure—- and marvel again at his WHY, cascading across the multitude as they joined in. I had never heard such an extended note so beautifully expressed in all my life.
On a personal note, I have to say that the night in Morongo was absolutely unforgettable. All in white, the mysterious soft rainfall in the desert. He looked and sounded so beautiful- took my breath away. Wicked Game-OMG And to think I almost didn’t go that night!!!!
