This review was great and had me laughing at "he appears on stage with the only thing I saw that was better looking than him – a full sized Harley for Bicycle Race" 🤣 Not sure I agree with him though😛🙃🥰

I noticed she doesn't have Kelly Clarkson listed. Guess that means she won't be there. 💖 I noticed that too. Is the Kelly thing "for sure" (I was traveling out of country and missed the announcement) - is it on her schedule? I wonder if it's an interview only or if he's singing with her and doesn't need his band, or if it's cancelled....

Quick thoughts about some things:
Good news about Kimmel! Hope more late night guys pick up on it and have him on. Corden is fine, but we need MORE. His taping for Kelly C. is on March 24. Don't know the actual broadcast date.
Lots of appearances and interviews coming up for Velvet! Please keep streaming Roses! The next single with the new video will be a good one I predict!
As to the discussion here, it is better than some other sites. I am active on another one and visit a few more. When Adam is on tour with QAL our attention is on the vids. But in between times I find that I learn a lot from people here. Esp. about the music business, technology, social commentary, etc. I find ATop a very rich place to be. The focus varies. I feel comfortable here. Any new topics are fine with me.
I'm sure that when Adam starts performing Velvet songs, the discussion here will EXPLODE!

My 2 cents about lack of discussion here: I'm probably a bit oversensitive, but in the past, I have been hesitant to post because I was afraid my ramblings may be construed as being "angsty" - I can sometimes feel disappointment about Adams career (wanting more radio play, awards, whatever). There have been times I felt chastised about my opinions. I think that's to be expected on any social media though. A lot of regular posters have disappeared, probably many are sensitive like me but I think there are many who weren't that interested in Adam's work with Queen and others who aren't interested in Adam's musical direction and just want him to sing "rock" music or "pop" music or whatever they think he should be doing.

My 2 Cents about the lack of discussion: There is simply not that much news currently. Adam is on tour with QAL. That’s great as it is. But it’s the same show as in the US last summer. Even the setlist is more or less the same. Actually, it has stayed the same for about 3/4 of the songs for more than 200 shows. What is there left to talk about?
In addition Adam himself isn’t posting much on his social media. At least nothing that makes me wanna talk about. I saw today that the band had visited an Island with Quokkas and went swimming. Adam had most probably been with them, but he hasn’t posted about it (yet?). Adam clearly must have decided some time ago to keep private things private. Even such things as a boat trip with other bandmembers, that the others are posting about. That’s ok. But it’s from my opinion one reason, why there is less discussion today than 3-4 years back. We simply have to live with the fact that we get less stuff to talk about.
Don’t get me wrong: I’m not complaining, just trying to explain, why in my opinion there is less discussion here. So as long as there is nothing new happening, there is not much to talk about. I think that’s going to change, when Adam‘s album is out and his solo shows are going to start. 😊

To me, the main thing is the time difference and time of year.
I followed and commented live on the majority of the US tour stops because they were all at the time of day when I'm usually home from work, chores done and just relaxing with leisure time to fill.
Now it's all happening at night so difficult to follow live and once I get through my day and to the evening, there's usually something else happening live that I'm interested in watching, like basketball (that conflict did not exist in the summer since it was the off season for all team sports except baseball that I don't care about st all).
That leaves little to no time to go back to the concert footage.

He is the only guest listed for that taping at this moment. There are 2 guests listed for the afternoon taping that day. Can't tell when it would air. For example on Corden the only person he took was Cam so it depend on what he is doing. If I recall I think he used someone different for Kelly and Ryan. 💜

bridgeymah et al I would imagine that many think my avi is odd but it's not totally random. Here's the story. I've been on the forum since day two (Feb 12, 2011 at 9:28am) and I never want to spend another day one lost and floundering again. Initially I did have an Adam avi and it was this, my version of the Glittery Alien from Planet Fierce ©Neil Lambert. I think it is hot! I have resigned myself to the beard but this still pushes all my buttons. Anyway, in the early post-idol days we were all freshly in love, everything was new and needed exploring, and there was just not enough hours in the day to touch, view, comment, and savor. One train of discussion was that Adam was a "Black Swan" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_swan_theory) and that by sheer awesomeness he would become The Pop/Music King and would herald a new era of gay inclusion. Although the former did not happen and many were disappointed and gave up, I still think there is an argument to be made for the latter at least in a less exalted form. My avi is my personal version of the black swan in a piece of art done my child. It was not their intent at the time but all my worlds collided in that art. That's my avi story. As far as people coming and going, I will say that my longevity here is because Adam has never ceased to be interesting and the people here are friends in a common cause. Over my itinerant life, I have known people who I remember fondly but don't expect to see again, met new friends who added a unique spice to my ordinary existence, and settled down with many like an old married couple. I have had all of this at Adamtopia. But also and perhaps most important to my longevity; whatever discussion is ongoing, however much I may agree or disagree with someone's opinion, I just don't take things personally. That's my secret, it's that simple.

I would love for Adam to get a couple sit-downs with the hosts of these shows, as well as do a performance. But I assume these are just performances although Kelly, being an AI alum, may have him sit and talk with her. Hope so. I assume Kimmel is a performance only.
MeggyMeg, I think your point about the time difference when it comes to overseas shows is a good one. When the US is asleep, other parts of the world are up and active, and vice versa. Kind of throws off the reaction time.
When Adam gets going on Velvet songs, we'll have a lot to talk about. And when his fall solo tour dates get set we will be in a ticket frenzy. Not to mention streaming new songs and videos.
I do wish Adam was a bit more active on social media. It does make a difference with fan-connection.

Another factor in the sense that there are fewer discussions is that we don't go off on big tangents as often as in the way back times. We used to get into a lot of silly things, such as calling everything, big or small, that stirred up "feelings" in the fandom a "gate." Haircutgate, sassy-answer-in-interview-gate, whatever. Then people would have fun posting photos of all kinds of literal gates and making up pretend "gate" scandals as captions.
One big tangent was the 2012 Atop group that went to Burning Man together. There was a long period of planning on a thread in members only, and then stories to tell on the thread after we returned. Many other Atop peeps, not planning to go to B. Man with the group, joined in the planning by helping with research about various items that might be good to take, and posted their ideas on the thread. Others watched the live feed from B.Man and, when we returned, asked all kinds of questions wanting to know about our experiences and wanting more explanation about what they had seen on the live feed. That thread is still available for reading.
One more example of a tangent that was fun. During a time when we were not hearing much from Adam and nothing new was expected, some people got interested in a band called The Parlotones, which was from South Africa and happened to be touring the US. People would say, "I'm cheating on Adam with the Parlotones. Is that wrong???LOL". It created some fun flights of fancy, and some music discussion.
My point just being that maybe we need more tangents some times.
peace&love
ETA - If anyone wants to check out the Burning Man thread go to members only- events and meet-ups, put Burning Man 2012 ~ Adamtopia in the Desert in the search box. You probably only need to put part of the thread name in the search box.
