My son and my DH work for tech companies here in the South Bay and they both are pretty happy to be working from home, especially my son who won't have to commute for over an hour one way from SF. My daughter however works for a medical clinic in Oakland and no break for her of course They are wearing protective gear though. I just got back from the emergency room at a major hospital. My husband is being treated for a lung infection that they can't identify yet. This has been going on for several weeks but he collapsed today. The plan is to give him IV antibiotics and hope that does it but he has been getting weaker and weaker. First hand experience is that they are all masked and gloved and there is antibacterial stuff everywhere. I'm hoping they get it cause he is already compromised with the lung cancer. So sorry to hear of this extra worry in an already painful situation. I hope they find some way of helping with this ASAP.

gypsyladee - I hope that your husband is OK. Hospitals are already stressful but this all must make it so much worse. I had a different but strange experience when I returned to the US from abroad in February. When we were about to board the plane they read a whole list of countries that if you had been to in the past 2 weeks, I could not board the plane for the US. Thankfully I was only in the UK but.... what would I have done? Lived in the airport. No...you’d have come to me, I hope. I’m not skerred....much.

I am late because I am basically a bat, so this is my first time reading this today. I am glad Adam sold his house and noticed that even before he posted his Instagram, the pictures of him people posted were in very minimal makeup, accenting rather than obscuring his gorgeous eyes. Gypsyladee, I am sorry that you and your husband are going through so much. You are in my thoughts.
So, I’m going to quickly play the TV Game, even though it is technically the next day. My crazy body clock thinks it is yesterday.
It seems that too much of our habits involve watching an episode of something on Netix or Prime, deriding to give it a chance, just not “now” and then forgetting it ever existed. We are watching Sanditon and love it. We binged Doc Martin like mad. I like Agatha Raisin when I don’t feel well. We were enjoying The Crown and abandoned it for no good reason. Our latest rentals were Parasite (loved) and Knives Out (slept through), probably good, just not our thing. Now on to our usual type of viewing. 1. The 100 (mega-binge) 2. Supernatural. 3. Picard. 4. Star Trek Discovery. 5. Hawaii 50. 6. Vikings. 7. Walking Dead. 8. Sinner-where are you?. 9. Westworld—same. 10. Haunting of Hill House (or wherever is being haunted next)—it has been renewed. This is more than I realized, but I guess some were binged so somehow just do not feel like they count, which is just silly.
What about books, if we are allowed to do something like this tomorrow?

The monitors and tray tables in airplanes are known to be germ infested, just like many cell phones. First thing I do when I board a flight is to pull out my disinfecting wipes, and I started a daily routine now with my cell phone. Cell Phone and Keyboard! I should adopt your Routine! These two objects are even more infeted with germs (in quantity and quality) than your toilet sead! (Not to Go into too much detail) I've never quite understood the concern over your own germs on phones and keyboards. Other people's germs on airplanes I understand. The CDC guidelines for home are to wipe down every surface every day too which doesn't make a lot of sense unless you have someone infected in the house.

It's NOT "Just" your own germs. There are WAY more things on there, than we wish to know. They did a scientific testing on this.

Bottom line is - don’t stick your hands into your mouth, eyes, ears, etc. If you don’t, doesn’t really matter what germs or viruses are on your fingers, they can’t enter your system through your skin.
