Let me play a devil’s advocate for a moment, or may be its a legit argument: the very existence of fan sites aside from the official Adam site or his fan club represent a “lost opportunity” for “Adam” as a business. this site is an excellent example. Every click, post, view this site gets is something the Adam official site does not. you see where this is leading. Tbh, at the beginning, back in 2009 - 2011, I tried to be active on adamofficial, just to help generate some traffic there, but the site was not attractive for many reasons. And here we are, 11 years later still having a discussion if it is worth joining his “official fan club”. I wonder why. just look at the richness of collected data here, on Atop, or on the mmadamaiamadamm ‘s site ! Wouldn’t it have been better had we all been congregating on an official site? I am sure there are several more active places out there that idk about. all that “lost” user Info! A really interesting point and something that I have thought about for many years. But even bands/artists with great official fansites and fan clubs have active unofficial fan sites. Look at Queen -- there are some amazing fansites that foster discussions and data collection that are not on the office site. I think there is room for both official and unofficial sites. That said, I agree, the failure of Adam Official to be a fun and interesting place still baffles me at bit.

"Buy in" is a huge part of the glambert psychic however and participating at a place where you have no power or influence is not as engaging. Just look at all the "jobs" 'topians have taken on over the years from birthday cakes to news to numbers to moderators et al. It's very difficult to have that at an official site. You can't just go off and create a moon garden forum for example or do a yearly weight loss thread like I did for years. And the other site which has like a monthly thread instead of a daily and where people do lots of picture footers. Or off to twitter and instagram which has it's own leaders. We've always been very "self-organized", perhaps amazingly so when I've looked around to find other fan forums. I joined the fan club years ago too, probably my only benefit is that I get occasional emails from Adam. I think some will make it home but many of us are set in our ways.

It probably won't make much difference but it would be great to see a few more tweets in support of Adam and Velvet.
