It would really lift my spirits if QAL announced a South American tour and RR for Sept. I can always worry later if it and the European tour will take place or not, lol. Vaccine for the win! I knew Adam's Vegas Residency would be cancelled but when the announcement was made, it really took away the last hope for this year. Still have my fingers crossed that if everything opens up, he will still be able to get that one week residency for Velvet in some place and time. That would be a nice ending to the Velvet era.

I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed that something will happen that will properly acknowledge and conclude "Velvet", though I am not counting on it given Shoshanna's comment not too long ago that there won't be any time for it next year. I realize that plans are likely in place for QAL to be a major part of Adam's professional life again, for understandable reasons, yet my heart is with Adam as a solo artist.

I realize that plans are likely in place for QAL to be a major part of Adam's professional life again, for understandable reasons, yet my heart is with Adam as a solo artist. I thought she was speaking about a Velvet tour or Velvet European Tour. The Residency was for one week and not the same commitment as a tour. My guess is since Roger spoke in an interview about a South American tour, that we hadn't heard about, that was likely already in the works (after the European leg would make sense) if it happens. That could explain why Adam could not fit in a Velvet tour. If he waited until after all the QAL stuff, it would be old. Of course tho the residency is so short, the venue would still need to be available when a week would fit into his schedule. Not going to bet on it either but maybe it is a wait and see if they can work it in when the coast is clear. But QAL or solo I look forward to Adam being back in action in some form. I look at it as one big career with different phases and timetables. Love them both.

If memory serves, when Shosh was responding to fans about Adam's 2021 plans, she commented to one fan that there was more to Adam's schedule than just touring - so I'm selfishly hoping there's something more than just QAL on tap for him next year. I'm happy he has QAL, but I became a fan for Solo!Adam, and he's still the main reason I'm here.

I'm a bit confused about Rock in Rio 2021 - I think I see that it will be in Lisbon, Portugal next year with dates that mesh with the QAL European tour. And someone who is a QAL fan also theorized that QAL will be in Chile, b/c the political and covid situation in Brazil is too volatile. She was primed to head to Chile.
I would be pumped to go hear live music again. But not ready for crowds. So sad that 4 years ago hubby and I went to the Isle of Wight festival (40th wedding anniversary was an excuse), and 11 months ago, we went to the Global Citizens concert in Central Park. Who would have guessed that this year I may not be able to go from NJ to RI to visit my grandchild w/o facing a 14 day quarantine upon coming back home?
