I used to care more that Adam didn’t get radio play because I drove a lot and listened to the radio. Since pandemic I’m barely driving, so I don’t notice find it bothers me less - but, yes, the fact that it means he doesn’t get award show spots as much as he would otherwise is a bummer. I love “Watermelon Sugar High” and I love “Super Power,” but my fave from Velvet - “New Eyes.” There is just something about that song that mesmerizes me. I too like New Eyes very much, and for a while at the beginning it looked like it would get some traction. It is a very dreamy song, and it feels like a "Velvet" blanket to me. The lack of radio play and award show invitations is thankfully is less noticeable during the pandemic. There's a silver lining in everything, I guess. I like your post above btw., especially the Mussolini reference. I as a German can't glorify Hitler either, even though he created jobs and built infrastructure.

I really relate to your Hitler comments. My Mother - born in 1929 - grew up on a small farm during Hitler's era in Germany and, because they only had access to one news source, the people in her village bought into a lot of the propaganda - at least at the start. To this day, she insists that Hitler made the lives of poor people, like her family better - ie. her parents got a vacation for the first time in their lives and so on. She does accept that in the end the harm outweighed any good but it's a subjet we try and stay away from. She also says she sees many frightening similarities to what is being said and done in the US right now by those in power to what she saw growing up.

onetime sizzling63 🙏🙏🙏 If Wall street really wanted a "small government" why did they get bailed out??!!! At MASSIVE ex*&@^# of the tax payers!!! If it really were small government for them, they would have gone bankrupt. PERIOD! ceecee so it's ok, that half the national Budget is used for the Military? Tricle down economics don't work, it's a blatant lie and illusion that is being fed again and again. There are people who are very well part of the workforce, but they earn so little with 50 hours a week that they need to rely on food stamps which again is paied by your precious tax dollars. Maybe you skipped over the part where I said we should continue to help those who need help and I realize people may need help throughout their lives for different reasons, but I'm looking for ways for the average person to have opportunities to improve themselves so they can break free from the cycle of dependency.....and now we are right back to our inadequate education system that fails to prepare our students to be productive members of society. Yes, I have worked hard for my precious tax dollars I willingly contribute to the government but the money needs to be spent wisely to help those that need it, but as I look around I also see plenty of people abusing the system taking tax dollars from people who are in need. My neighbor works for a social service agency and the stories she tells makes my heart break for some people and the situations they find themselves in, but she also has as many stories about others who abuse the system. We need to get the abusers out of the system so there is more revenue available for those that really need it.

ceecee no, i didnt overlook that Part. It just seemed incoherent to me to say the government is shouldnt spend valuable tax money on micromanaging everyones life in the face of a gigantic Military Budget. To the other points. We Unfortunately have the same issues here in Germany as well. Some people who ride the system and seem to get the most out of it and others who could really use a few extra Dollars/Euros and don't seem to qualify for any extra help. Unfortunately the first group ruins it for everyone and creates negative stigmas about people out of jobs on government support. Some despicable part of the media is doing it's best to perpetuate these prejeduce.
