Looking for something online about community policing I strangely ran into this funny old thing with Adam on Fashion Police. LOL Not the best quality sound, but worth a listen. vimeo.com/68107124peace&love

Several people were bemoaning the fact that Adam took the Velvet link out of his insta bio in favor of the QAL album. I get it. I think he is so excited for the QAL album as he should be. After all who else have they ever done this with. I know they put out something with Paul Rodgers but it wasn't the same kind of thing and it didn't do well. I think that's one of the reasons they have been hesitant. They wanted to wait until the time was right. And boy is it ever! One of the publications said QAL sent fans into a frenzy lol! I'm sure we haven't seen the last of Velvet. In the meantime I'm so excited and proud of this handsome young man with the beautiful voice- as someone else put it- and changing all our lives forever. Eagerly looking forward to the new album and everything to come Adam Lambert!
And I meant to say some people were wondering if Adam talks to Brian and Roger. Looks like they talk pretty regularly with the single they put out. Now the album plus this video. Brian said Adam is on all the decisions as he always has been. Love it!

Looks like they talk pretty regularly with the single they put out. Now the album plus this video. Brian said Adam is on all the decisions as he always has been. Love it! I think I can understand those fans bemoaning the end of Velvet era, but in my mind this album is also an Adam Lambert project. I don't know the legal particulars, but strictly legally speaking, Queen today is Brian May and Roger Taylor. Queen + Adam Lambert are: those two individuals + Adam Lambert! It stands to reason QAL cannot release anything without the permission of all 3 people involved in that business partnership, and Adam is for sure consulted. It's his name, after all, as well as Queen's, up there. So, this album (and this project) belongs to him as much as it belongs to them. And, why shouldn't it? He performed all those concerts. He sang all those songs. I hope even if people are mourning the bad luck Velvet had, they will still remember this QAL album is also pure Adam Lambert. It's his voice, his artistry, his showmanship, his chemistry with the band, that make those performances worthy of being put on the album and released for our enjoyment. As for Velvet, it is still here for us to enjoy too, just like we can still listen to his first 3 albums. In today's streaming world, people are constantly "discovering" old albums. And most of Adam's music, I feel, is going to age well. Maybe there are a couple of songs that were following "trends", but mostly it's just good music, regardless of what year it is, Velvet especially feels timeless. Anyways, that's just my take on this whole thing.
