What you guys are loving is "In the Lap of the Gods... Revisited." "In the Lap of the Gods" is different but quite worth seeking out if only for Roger's background vocals Actually did know that. Wonder what makes the songs different, why revisited. Talon? There has never been an official explanation or interview regarding that question...I think that Freddie had lyrical ideas and wrote them to two different songs and figured they could be related lyrically if not musically....Musically they are not close at all... BUT both are interesting. It's funny we talk about this now. Everyone, including the band goes around calling it In The Lap Of The Gods on the setlists, etc. I remember when Chicago started, I didn't have a stream and a tweet or post said they did In The Lap Of The Gods and my mouth dropped! In my heart I KNEW it had to be revisited but for a moment I wondered if they were going to do it like QE did which was both back to back. BUT Roger's backing vocals are sweeeet! Even though Freddie's voice is slowed down for effect on the first version: Be careful with the video - the first few seconds are jarring...loud...and all Roger. In The Lap Of The Gods

Talon, I had a great view when they performed '39 and These Are the Days of Our Lives. The audience loved it. Awesome! Great to know, thanks

Ha Ha that typing GIF is hilarious. Maybe we need to all sign on to a petition or card...a million tweets could get a tad annoying. Queen fans complain about how many years it takes to put together something from the archives. Could they do a timely DVD of this tour? Holiday sales would be a great $$$ maker. Oh they CAN do timely especially if they think the iron is hot. Queen + Paul Rodgers did summer shows (June) and there was a DVD/CD released that fall. ALTHOUGH on the other hand...when they did the Ukraine in the summer of 08 nothing came out til 2009. It all depends I guess... The issue here would be timing. Rainbow 1974 is definitely being released in September. Then you have Queen Forever and A3 in the works. Not sure where it would slot it. Unless they release QAL and Queen Forever in a close succession....which *COULD* happen *shrug*

In the Neil podcast, it sounds like Rufus says at 30:50ish the name of a song they might do in Japan. I can't hear him well enough. Is there a song titled "Take Me Down" or something like that? Just finished...my "transcription" (from what I could make out and it's paraphrased) - Remembering that this interview was backstage at Vancouver. Nick: ....over to Japan and there are certain songs that are usually played... Neil: You know what songs those are (TALON INSERT: Teo Toriatte & maybe I Was Born To Love You) Rufus: (SOMEONE - I THINK he said Adam but it may have been Brian) wants to do Dragon Attack again Nick: Oh really? An exclusive there! Neil: And well I don't know if I can say but he (TALON - talking about whomever Rufus mentioned) really likes Get Down Make Love too, doesn't he? Rufus: Oh yeah... Nick: Oh that would be awesome to play WHat I took from that particular segment: Brian and Roger control the set list. Adam probably has SOME input. The "secondary" band has almost no input. I would say that Get Down Make Love is...unlikely. But if Adam bugs Brian enough than perhaps. I think Dragon Attack is likely to stick around.

what's he say I can't play it?? It's 4 lengthy interview sections. The first (recorded June 2013), is an interview with Roger. Even though it says that it is mainly about Roger's solo album from last year, it ends up going into a discussion about Adam and the 2012 mini-tour within a few minutes. (Big praise for Adam) The remaining 20 minutes are then about Roger's work and other subjects. Have not had time yet to listen to the interview sections 2 - 4, but all of them are lengthy, so it will take some time, before you will get your questions answered. Hope you can make them play for you eventually for yourself. ETA: Thanks Buder for posting the link to The Queen Anomaly. Interesting research. This is the Official Queen Podcast. Roger's interview came first and that was released in the spring though the interview was from the previous summer. This was divided into 2 sections. The third one was an interview with Greg Brooks who is the Queen Archivist. He is an interesting individual with a phenomenal job. he's the one who trawls through the archives to document and preserve everything in there. He has heard/seen everything Queen has in the vaults. He has brought some recordings to conventions and he also helps propose things for product and works on getting the best possible material to the product (such as Live at the Rainbow) He has been somewhat vilified as he mad mention of a Queen Anthology back in 1995 and some stupidly blame him for things not coming out (despite the fact that he has NO say in what comes out). He also hasn't endeared himself getting into some snarky wars on QZ but for the most part all mountains out of molehills. Somewhat interesting Neil is what was just published and I have yet to hear it. Admin at QOL just said that Rufus would be an upcoming interview.

It is definitely more stable in Chrome and Safari. It works much better on my home computer. At work I don't have a choice but to use FF...

That is a great resource...unfortunately it crashes on me in firefox a bunch. BUT when I can get it stable it's phenomenal I wish I could find a longer video of 39 from Boston - I'd love to hear Brian giving shout out to my second favorite band, Extreme...ah well. I wonder if they do something special tonight as the last night of the tour...Q3's best chance at getting Jailhouse Rock I have no expectation or hope that I will hear JR -- CLTCL is enough "Elvis" music for this show. My expectation for tonight is that they MIGHT do "Dragon Attack" again -- and maybe a really longshot see something else they did previously. But I think the odds of hearing anything new for Q+AL are close to zero. Setting aside that....my revised, realistic hopes and dreams having seen this show a "few" times: -- They perform TSMGO and DSMN tonight. -- We get another "Dragon Attack". -- Brian plays all of the guitar solo from "Bijou" -- he already has played part of it but I want it all! *** Oh I agree. No *REAL* chance at JR. Just musing that Red House was played at the last date of the QPR NA tour :D BUT I mostly agree...I think Show Must Go On makes a come back tonight. Dragon Attack might also (whether or not that means no Love Kills is a question mark). I doubt we get all of Bijou but that would be nice. I *DO* think there is an outside chance that if they are planning on doing more than soundchecking I Was Born To Love You, that it could get a premiere tonight as a try-out of sorts. REAL outside but there...
