So much Adam news today....I love it! OT but I'd like to share something that one of my drama teachers shared on Facebook. When you finally feel that you have carved out a safe place....takes months and with some classes it never happens. But today, in my grade 9 class, response to the attendance question, which was "if you could marry any celebrity, would you, and if so, who? As we went around the circle I came to a young man who glanced nervously at the two guys beside him and they all nodded nervously at one another as if to say "holy crap we are actually gong to do this!" and said in unison " Robert Downey Jr." I have noticed the subtle flirtation between them before, but I think they effectively came out together today. There was a sense that it was funny, which it was, (they are all naturally funny) but also a sense that they really meant it. I think that in that moment I was the proudest I have felt all year. As I wrote back to her...these are those special moments that all teachers cherish and remember. Relating this to Adam, I think he is an amazing role model for gay students and for all student who feel that they don't quite fit in. Good for them, and her for giving a comfort level that works for them. Just curious - how did the rest of the class react? Do you know? As an administer, I have sat in on many of this teacher's classes and believe me Drama is a very difficult subject to teach but she makes it fun and interesting ........she also very structured and garners a great deal of respect. So I would imagine that the students in her class took their cue from her and as she said it was in a way funny but also very poignant.

I have been strolling the interwebs for fun things to do in Toronto and had this question. If, indeed, Toronto is the last stop of the tour where in Toronto will Adam go after the show to celebrate? Any Torontonians have a guess ... not that I would show up or anything. :D I would think that Adam and Queen will be staying at the Royal York which is very close to the ACC and the best hotel in town. There are many wonderful restaurants in the area but the CN Tower might be an interesting choice. There are many gay clubs on Church Street and also on Parliament if Adam wishes to check out the night life. If I was hoping to bump into Adam I would probably hang out at the Royal York though!

I can't believe I was working and almost missed the presale!! Now I am set with 3 new shows -- and completely broke!! But I got the best seats in Toronto! And I can drive to the 3 shows I picked!! **** Now off to clean up page one!! Happy for you Q3! I also got great seats for Toronto, so now I'm going to both shows here. Lucky me I only have to drive in from the burbs. My only dilemma is how to break it to my husband and kids, they are going to think I'm certifiable.

I have a request of all of our lovely Canadians here. I know you have very generous natures and love to share things. But could you please stop sharing those nor'easters and snow. Really, I do appreciate that sharing thing, but we've had enough here in the U.S. northeast - really. It's Spring and you guys are sending down more of that lovely white stuff tomorrow. Can you send it north instead of south? I know those polar bears up there could use a little love. Tie in to Adam: All of this generosity is causing a syndrome here - ATAWS. ATAWS stands for Atop Ass Widening Syndrome. Since all we've been able to do is sit on our asses in front of the computer since October, we're worried that this could spread to epidemic proportions (operative word being "spread"). So, I'm asking that you refrain from any more weather sharing for health reasons also. We will try to honour your request up here in the Great White North. I am sitting here looking at all the snow in my backyard but feeling much happier since my purchase this morning to the second Queen and Adam concert here in my home city of Toronto! I had contemplated going to Detroit or Montreal but this is much better. I also managed to get floor seats this time. I'm a very happy camper today.

I'm going too!!! This is my first post but I have been an Adam fan from the time he was on Idol. Lurking at Atop is such fun, it helps to know that my obsession is shared by so many. Welcome to Adamtopia, Gabriella! It looks like Atop will be represented in Toronto.TY for the welcome.....and I will be close by in section 102.

Yes!!!!! You're not the only one. I feel like a kid when Christmas is approaching. Several times a day I exclaim, "I'm going to see QAL!!!" Then the big smile just spreads across my face. DH thinks I'm losing it. Have to check into Atop to confirm I'm not the only one feeling this way. By the way, any other Atoppers going to the Toronto show? Haven't seen much mentioned about that venue. Nannygoat, I'm a very quiet Atopian (mostly a lurker!) but I'll be there!! My very first time to see Adam live -- I can hardly wait!!! I'm going too!!! This is my first post but I have been an Adam fan from the time he was on Idol. Lurking at Atop is such fun, it helps to know that my obsession is shared by so many.
