This is for Kamar! Two of my favourite Adam moments occurred in the song Are You Gonna Go My Way...... when Adam performed it with Aurea at the Hennessy Artistry Festival. I can't get enough of seeing Adam coming up from below the stage at the beginning and also when he kneels in front of Aurea. I don't know if I embedded the link correctly but here it is youtu.be/7c976cdPouE

It was a night to remember and more.
We had tickets on the right side of the floor and I was surprised to discover how comfortable the chairs were. To my utter delight, I realized after the show that the chairs were totally unnecessary since everyone stood the whole time. This was a totally happy crowd.........people were singing, dancing, clapping and generally having a great time. At the end it seemed to me that no one wanted to leave we all wished the show would go on and on.........
Even though I know the concert inside out, having watched more videos and streams than I care to admit to, I waited with great anticipation for each song and I almost cried when Adam sang TSMGO since it is one of my favourites. I loved DA it was so sexy but did miss LK.
I have had a hard time lately, my 95 year old mother has been in and out of the hospital so I was not sure I would be able to make the concert but thanks to my kids and husband they made sure that I went.
Now that I look back on QAL, I realize that for me this concert is like my favourite book (Pride and Prejudice) in that I never get tired of it and it brings me great pleasure and joy each and every time.
Thank you Queen and Adam for giving me an incredible night of memories!

Let's just start with.........I truly had an amazing time last night!
The evening started off with a lovely dinner with my son at a small polish restaurant where much of the menu took me back to my Hungarian roots. Upon leaving the World Cup had ended and the German fans made sure we knew who had won.
We finally arrived in a parking lot close to the ACC and when the attendant said $35 i nearly croaked.......then my son said he just put up a new sign that now says $40. Anyway, I was glad I was driving the Fiat..... being a small car people actually didn't mind letting me in and I also got a prime exit spot.
Upon entering the venue, I was happy to see a fair number of younger people but as my son commented it was heavily laden with older Queen fans.......around me there were lots of black tees, men with shoulder length hair and some rather bad tattoos.
Our seats were dead centre row 12 aisle seats......I remember thinking I could have opted for closer seats but it was actually perfect. I think that to fully take in the whole performance, the unique set design and the magnificence of the lasers/lights, fog and confetti it was a perfect seat.
I had decided that I would simply watch the show and take in as much as I could. I left the capturing of special moments to my son. If you were to see me you might think that I was not a fan of either Adam or Queen but I was actually so thrilled to be there and to watch such a magnificent show that I was almost transfixed.......it was truly a visceral experience. The rather large lady beside me danced in her seat rocking me along with her. She was a long time Queen fan and couldn't stop raving about Adam's vocals.
I was gearing myself up for the comments during KQ but none came at to my ears.
As many have said before...........Adam's voice was meant to be heard live, It filled the arena with it's beauty, clarity and seemed like effortless glory. I was totally transported to a place of pure joy and pleasure. My reaction to WWTLF and TSMGO was as expected very emotional.........both songs touch me In a very special way.
My only complaint was that it was very hot so both my son and I drank lot's of water ($5.00/ bottle) and there is no good time to go to the washroom. It seemed like everyone around us took a quick break during Brian's extended solo. When four people in my row got up to leave during WWTLF I was ready to give the a piece of my mind.
When it was over, I can honestly say that we both felt that words were unnecessary. It's like really good food it needs to be savoured and one is left with a feeling of being totally satisfied.
On our drive home......my son said that this was not a concert he would have gone but none the less he really enjoyed it. That's all I needed to hear!

2,5stars/5 !!!! I thought of when Simon Cowell called ROF "self indulgent rubbish" I actually pity someone who doesn't get a charge out of this concert. Can you imagine what it takes to make this dude happy. Must not be much joy in his life with his impossible standards. I'm off to wallow in last night's STL to cleans my palate I know for sure this guy was not at the same concert I attended last night! I was surrounded by Queen fans not an Adam fan in sight and I did not heard a single negative comment. The lady beside me was dancing so hard in her seat she was literally rocking me through out show as well.

This is probably really obvious, and I'm just not getting it. What does SEO mean in this tweet? Stephen Derksen @stephenderksen Adam Lambert's SEO is off the charts right now. What a performance at the @queenwillrock show! Wow. SEO......means search engine optimization.

I think what is absolutely phenomenal is that.......5 years after idol Adam's fame and stardom continues to rise even without that mega hit song. And after 5 years financially he is better off than I am after a rewarding and well paid career which has left my husband and myself very comfortably retired. So whatever Adam is doing to promote himself he is doing a great job and I don't think A3 will not make him or break him. I honestly hope it's a masterpiece but I think that is just the next thing on Adam's agenda. I believe that he will be on TV and in movies. I get the feeling and he has said this also..... that he has a restless nature and he needs continual challenges. I think he will be epic and this slower build to fame is more lasting than some of the one hit wonders we have seen. I think of David Cook who did ok after Idol but whose career has seemed to stall of late. Luckily for Adam he has many different facets to his talent so if the music business does not work out then he can branch out to other art forms. I read somewhere the other day how Gaga's no longer the star she was a couple of years ago and even though I don't follow her career my sense is that this is probably true. Fame can be fleeting as many have experienced but I think that Adam's talent and personality will ensure his longevity.

Very touching. It reminded me that I was going to tell about my older brother, a 60-year-old guitarist and lover of all things musical. While I was visiting him during the start of the QAL tour, he asked if I had any more Adam videos to show him. (He doesn't do computers, so I have made special DVDs for him over the last couple years.) He really enjoys Adam. So we watched the iHeart tour preview and the Chicago Killer Queen on my laptop in my mother's living room. As we finished, my mom sad that my brother looks like he really enjoyed it and might have been teary eyed. He confessed, he did get teary. Songs of his youth. I don't remember him being a Queen fan, but certainly he knew the music. For a couple years, my mother, who is in dementia but still living "alone" next door to my brother, has stated that she does not like to have the radio on or any music. She just prefers silence nowadays. However, she is now visiting my sister and hubby who have been playing a stack of CDs of music from Mom's youth. Sis and hubby put headphones on her because she has hearing loss, and apparently she is sitting still with complete focus listening to this music. She has the CD cases all lined up in front of her so she can look at the tracks and liner notes. Then she's ready to listen again. Also, she is a musician and quit playing the cello a few years ago (she's 87). (Yes, we are all musicians in my family.) However, my guitarist brother has somehow gotten her to take her cello to nursing homes where he enjoys playing for the old folks. She has been improvising along with him, even on songs she barely knows. She's never done improv before. What a great creative outlet and mental exercise for her--and an example of how to keep on truckin' in old age. While I was visiting one of these nursing home gigs, another lady got up front and did a soft-shoe dance routine. I love the arts! Holst, I love this post and it brought tears to my eyes. I worked in Hospice for many years and it is amazing the joy and comfort music can bring to the elderly and the sick. Thank you! My 95 year old mother who also suffers from dementia, loves to listen to the Three Tenors and Andre Rieu......of course she can't figure out how her favourite videos can fit into my IPad? But it's great to see the joy on her face that music can still evoke especially when there are many days she does not even recognize me.
