Wonder if Terrence and company or even Adam will go back. I kinda doubt it. Seems kinda strange to headline again after all the hype the first time. Guess since you have all the staging and singers and dancers and costumes...might as well do it again and extend the praise. I'm not a Beyonce fan....don't care about her one way or the other. $100,000 to her would be like a $10 donation by me. Not a big Beyoncé fan either tho she is very talented and puts on a fantastic show. But sometimes the worship just seems overdone. When Adele won the main Grammy's against her last album there was so much fuss made about it. Beyoncé won, I think 3, but not the main one so the complaints poured in. But her album went platinum while Adele's was 11X platinum so why were people acting as if Adele had no business winning? And to see Adele groveling as if she were not deserving was really off putting. Then there was the But Beyoncé's album made a statement. But obviously Adele's made a bigger statement to more people. Not surprised that Adam loves her tho as he loved Gaga and Madonna. Doesn't mean we all have to love them to that degree because someone or others do. I really like Rihanna but understand that many don't. What I would give to hear Adam sing her "Love on the Brain." I think it would do me in so maybe not, lol. If he were to write/record/release something with that kind of emotional punch I would not be mad at him tho. I agree with all of you about emotion. But when a woman says I care and you don't-that's pain. I know you guys don't know how deepseated "Becky with the good hair" goes into the psyche (back to slave times) and I won't fault anyone one here for not knowing. I think Adele's music is very retrospective--looking in the past and emotional. Beyonce's music is I have a cheating husband and regardless of what I have, this is my situation now. But honesty and pain hurts and it's hard for artists to convey that in a way that everyone can understand. I think we all do know that this music industry is very unfair and favors the few who seem to have hit after hit, due to radio play. Those with no or little talent flourish in the marketplace.

For those who want to know Beyonce will return to Coachella, this weekend to headline again. Also gave $100000. to be split between 4 traditionally Black Universities. But that's on top of the half million to change for climate and the 7 million for the Homeless in Houston, Texas. What matters is that she gives back to the community.

I think Beyonce performance was also intended to highlight the fact that here we are in 2018 and she was the FIRST BLACK WOMAN HEADLINER at Coachella. Like she said "ain't that bout a bitch" from the top of the stairs. Also I don't think many non-black people understood the significance of the words being spoken as she approached. The Black woman is the most abused, neglected, etc., (I don't know the exact poem?), but this was a historical moment and so very important to Beyonce to represent strength and self-belief. So for those who criticized having dancers and coming Hard and Big, this was a very important, significant occasion and a celebration of being FIRST. Instead think maybe why are we still having firsts in 2018?

JMO. Beyonce's show was stellar. The theme was Black traditions, such as Marching band, dancers, Black Anthem and her own personal history, heartbreak, pain and disappointment. The major message was about women and having belief in oneself and being true to yourself. "A lil sweat doesnt hurt nobody". This was her own creativity on display and her music. This was a person who cancelled performing at Coachella last year and had twins. Not to mention the 3 months of 11 hours days to rehearse in order to present this show. I have not been a fan of hers, but acknowledging the scope of her show, doesn't take anything away from anyone else. To be the first Black woman headliner was so very important to her and she showed up. So I applaud her vision and creativity and the way she presented her voice and her music. Because Beyonce worked for that show and as one review said out-danced and out-sang everyone on that stage and never missed a step. I particularly like that everyone on the production signed a NDA and that nothing leaked except the 100 dancers part a few days before the show. Beyonce did herself proud and other women proud and I see someone who delivered that message with so many nods and themes. I don't see much to pick apart because nothing is preventing anyone else from doing the same. All artists present the show they want and Beyonce did the same.

First Black woman headliner at Coachella. Beyonce entirely re-wrote the script. Such a performance, with all the bells and whistles and then the kitchen, not just the sink, the entire kitchen. Worth going to bed after 4am. Out of this world performance and reviews. Historical with so many Black history themes.
