😖😖. I've never had so much trouble in my life as I've had trying to get signed up to the fan club and ordering my shirt! I finally ordered a shirt so guess I'm in the fan club except I'm still not sure I'm in the right place. All I'm getting is old pics and fb comments! 😖 Then, I ended up on PayPal which I didn't intend to sign up for, and don't want! I'm really sorry I started this whole mess. And, Now I'm on PayPal and need to get off. This is the second time I've ended up there and DIDN'T want to be!! Oh well -- suzy, I am so glad you said this about the fan club. Now I know I'm not alone. I have been so embarrassed the past few days not being able to figure it out and having to ask people here and use the tech help. I have signed up for other things over the years with no trouble. BUT I think the fact that I was signed up for this site years ago really messed me up. I am finally able to get into it all now, but I am stuck with my own real name coming up when I post. I must have done that years ago and it's in the system for good. I can see no way to change it so I can have my own username. I really don't want to post comments with my real name, although I see other members there who are using their real names, too. Others have fan names. Drat. I wish I had realized it worked that way. I would have left my real name off at the beginning. And now I realize how dumb my last question was. The "keyword" space is obviously not the "username" space. There is no "username" option on the site, apparently. I just thought that had to be it. I will not be doing much posting, I guess. I was looking forward to it, TBH. Live and learn. Despite the trouble, I'm not sorry I persevered. It's done. And thanks, everybody, for your patience with my questions. Just glad I have Atop as a great home base. This virus is beyond everyone's wildest nightmares, I think. This year 2020 is historic for the most horrific reasons. Hi! I had the same problem with the username. I was finally able to change it from my real name to a username. Here is what you need to do: - Lock into your account. - Click on „Account“. - Click on your picture (or the grey space for the picture). - Now scroll down. You can edit your picture and/or your username (= Display name). I hope, that helps! It took me a while to figure out, how to change my username... but it finally worked!

Fellow on the Voice Australia just did a Gokey worthy murder of Dream On by Aerosmith. Dogs are howling and cats are hiding in fear of their lives... (For those who didn't watch Adam's season of American Idol I'm sure the horror that was Gokey's performance lives on You Tube.) Even better, Idolatry's "Scream On" is still on. Everyone should watch it for all the praise of Adam (and Alison): www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZG-VMtoRQpkLol. I had never seen Danny‘s performance of „Dream On“ before. That Scream is horrible! Even this 11 year old girl from Germany would have kicked his a... now off to listen to that to get Danny out of my ears. youtu.be/XFz_zVHv8d8

No, that nightowlfan account isn’t mine. I only use that nickname here. I never had an option to enter a nickname. When I originally created my account there it had been for fan-sale tickets and the merch shop. I entered my name and address, since both was needed. It is possible that the procedure has changed. Since I created my account 10 years ago (like that other nightowlfan account), the rules must have been different back then. As I mentioned, the Account page says the full name is required, but I never had to enter it, and it is still empty in my account. They never asked me to update those fields. Also, the only info that actually changed for me (my occupation) is non-editable in my account, so I cannot update it. The design and implementation of that page sucks big time, if you ask me. I think it is time to contact the fanclub and let them know about your concerns. Thank you for your replies. I created my account in 2015, at WB times. So the design and sign-up regulations must have changed over the times (it for sure has now). I will wait until my friend calls back and then we will decide together, what to do, since we’re both sitting in the the same boat. Only that she created her account a bit later than I did. Maybe she already got an answer.

Yes, but before I contact the fanclub, I will wait a bit and hope, that someone here had the same problem and can help me. Because there are many people with nicknames, but also many with their actual names. Somehow it must be possible to change it... Not knowing your real name, I logged in and searched for "nightowl" and got "nightowlfan is a female Mom/Writer/Substitue Teacher from Indiana . She has been a member of this site for 10 years. Last login: 9 years ago" Assuming this is yours, is it possible that you have two accounts? I looked at my profile, and I never entered a first and last name on the Account page. On that page, it says "This information is required and only accessible by Wonderful Union staff. None of this information is shared with the public or third party services. Review our privacy policy for further information." So basically the Profile name you register with can be a nickname if you initially decided to go with it, and your real name is internal information never shared with the public. But if you registered an account with your real name, there is no way to change it, as your account is tied to it. If the "nightowlfan" account is yours, you should consider using that one. Maybe contact the fanclub management and ask if you can close the clear name account and move your membership to the nicknamed one, as long as you can prove you own both? No, that nightowlfan account isn’t mine. I only use that nickname here. I never had an option to enter a nickname. When I originally created my account there it had been for fan-sale tickets and the merch shop. I entered my name and address, since both was needed.

Thanks for the answer, Nightowl...I wouldn't like my actual name out there, either. That's weird though that you can't make the change in your user profile. Is there an email to a help person? Yes, but before I contact the fanclub, I will wait a bit and hope, that someone here had the same problem and can help me. Because there are many people with nicknames, but also many with their actual names. Somehow it must be possible to change it...

I have a question to all members of Adam’s Fanclub: My friend and I have a problem. We have been members for many years. Now that Adam is more active on it, we sent him questions and he did answer. The problem is, that the Fanclub shows the clear name. How can we change that? We aren’t ok with fans taking these questions and answers and publishing them all over the net with our clear names on them. But we cannot find a possibility on the Fanclub page to change our names. I tried it on the „Profile“ site, but it doesn’t work. Any ideas? Until that hasn’t changed, I would ask fans not to display the clear names, when you copy and paste the questions outside of the Fanclub. Thank you! I haven't re-upped for the new fan club, so this is probably a stupid question...but what do you mean by "clear name". Do you mean your actual name rather than a board name? Yes. When I registered several years ago, I did that with my actual name. Now with the new board, that account was still active (I had to pay the $10 again, but the account is still the same). So I never used a nickname and I don‘t see a possibility to change that now in the profile. Without that, I won’t like to take part in the blog and fan interaction there.
