In Germany the Virus is pretty well contained. The only big outbreak of 1.500 people is a a slaughterhouse. This incidense has shed a big light in the poor working conditions in these meat-factories. It's not that this issue hasnt been know before, but it's exposed by Corona. In the German media they are saying that early next year is a leginimate date we can expect a vaccine. Of course there is still uncertainty obviously, but it seems to be somewhat serious proposal, because experts have been saying it. Of course with the needed caution, but for them to even make a prediction means they're quite certain and have good reason for hope. Personally I think it's rational to a certain degree to mourn the cancellation of the concerts. As I said before: my biggest hope is that all this caos, fear and pain wasn't for nothing and that some true positive change comes. nightowl which german artist did that? It was Michael Patrick Kelly. Instead of talking time off, he also did a really special lockdown concert in the Kölner Dom (cathedral of Cologne). The dean of the cathedral had called and asked him, if he would consider recording some music there. Paddy did so, payed for all the expenses and put it for everyone to see on YT. It’s an absolutely beautiful concert. Here is the link, if you want to see it. It’s really worth to watch, especially in these times. youtu.be/bE4ffifDTRw

I could be wrong but I think most of the successful and wealthy artists in the US are doing free on-line concerts for fans or concerts for charity. The only ones I have seen asking fans to pay are artists who are trying to survive because they did not make a lot of money before. They don't have great name recognition and were barely filling small clubs before this tragedy hit. Adam has a net worth of $30M so not sure he would be comfortable charging tho we would pay. Maybe he would do it to raise money for the Foundation tho. All true. The people with financial problems in the music industry are most of the time not the artists, but their crews. One of my favorite artists here in Germany just did a couple of these Drive-In concerts to support his band (session musicians) and crew. While he had planned a pause for himself this summer, his „cast & crew“ lost all their tours ect. It’s the same with Adam’s background singers and musicians: if they don’t have opportunities to work and earn money for several months, many of them get really into trouble. I‘m wondering, if the QAL crew is getting payed or something for this Mini-series they started today on YouTube. These people have all lost their jobs atm as well and would have been on tour with QAL.

Too bad, that Adam now has to cancel all his concerts for this year. But it was foreseeable. Now I hope, that 2021 will be better... Do you have „Drive-In“ concerts, where you live? Here in Germany are more and more artists, who do concerts in places that are usually used as Drive-In Cinemas. It’s new and the artists have to get used to the fact, that people aren’t close. And instead of clapping, people honk. 😁 But in the end, fans can enjoy the music in their cars and, see the artist and the artists can make money. If you cannot imagine, what this looks like, here is a report from a German morning show about one of the first concerts. youtu.be/6jIgUj6JIpk

I don't think that your reaction to the AMAs segment is irrational. It happened and to me it sticks out during the rather flattering documentary as a dark chapter in Adam's career, regardless what everybody's take on it is now. It stings every time I get reminded, as the fallout here in the US was heartbreaking. Thankfully, Adam recovered. Edit: That type of perseverance probably made him the frontman for Queen that he is now. In addition to his god given talent and charisma, it was his strong work ethic, a dedication toward Freddie's legacy, and his grit to defy the naysayers that has lifted Queen to new heights. The Netflix version apparently didn't have the quote from the ABC News guy saying the Adam's behavior at the AMA was 'right out of Freddy Mercury's Playbook". Hm..... I wonder why that got cut? It’s the UK version. For all I know a lot of the American stuff (including the AMAs) was shortened. Instead they have a part about the shows in Japan. I‘m glad this sentence is gone, because in my opinion it isn’t true.

I think, it’s not that easy, to cancel all shows, because the shows are currently allowed in some countries. Here in Germany shows with less than 5,000 people in the audience are allowed in September (if nothing has changed recently). Many countries are opening up again, so it could actually be, that some shows will be allowed...
If that’s a good idea or makes sense for Adam is another question.

Not gonna lie...I have to admit that sometimes I find Adam's fans to be a bit hypersensitive to perceived slights. However, his omission from the EW cover irritated me, too. Why Freddie is there, when he has been dead over 20 years and obviously is no longer creating anything, while Adam is not makes no sense to me. Just when I think he is finally getting his due as the trailblazer he was and is, something like this happens. He deserves better. Fans of many artists have asked the artist on Twitter, why so and so wasn’t on the cover. He said, there had been more people on the list he got from the magazine to draw, but time was up. He hadn’t been able to draw all of them.
