To be fair technically Adam is must as strong, if not stronger a vocalist As Freddie was. Make me laugh these review Who seem to be conveying their position on the Qal partnership. As Freddie was some kinda vocal god. I'm sorry he wasn't lol. The man is a legend. But he wasent the perfect vocalist by any means. The anti reviews Adam gets. The same reviewers were harsh on Freddie's back in his prime. So I really 🙄 To some reviewers who act like Freddie's voice was some all tour de force where he always hit all the notes, without fail. I'm sorry Freddie is a legend, but he constantly had bum notes. It was part of his magic. It just seem so these reviewers can't give Adam credit without some kinda predisposition. To me it comes down to originality. If Adam was Queens original singer, and Freddie came along. I honestly believe we'll hear "Freddie's good but he is no Adam Lambert". But as Freddie said the show must go on. Adam embodies the spirit of Freddie, in a way I don't think anyone in the planet today could. He was almost born to do this. Freddie said Do anything without my music. Just don't make me boing. So I honestly believe Freddie would approve. These QO posters we'll never give Adam full credit. You can't please everyone. But look at the social media response. I believe a majority of the audience LOVE Adam with Queen. I think the appeal of a front man for a legendary rock band can't be purely evaluated based on vocal abilities. So much more goes into it, and in our never-ending scenario there's quite some nostalgia involved. Some like this, others like that. Some like the command and arrogance, others like the flamboyance, many like a combination of things, others can't quite get over the past and thus like to stick to what they fell in love with at first place. I think Adam and Queen have learned to accept it and enjoy what they've got. I do too.

Yesterday? (July 27), much of the discussion focused on some of the general views of Queen purists and many of their continuing lambasts of not only Adam as frontman but also of some criticisms of Brian and Roger's choice of Adam as frontman. I was unwell yesterday, and I just wanted to add a bit of information that I have located regarding Brian and his comments on Adam's voice. Girldrummer: "...Adam's voice is extremely good, better than Freddie's in some ways. Even Brian and Roger have alluded to this. This must be very painful to the purists, like an act of treason." Talon: acknowledges that Brian has noted that Adam can sing higher than Freddie but notes: "and for the record, Brian and Roger have never said Adam's alluded to (sic.) Adam's voice being better than Freddie's..." Thelambertluvva: "I don't remember where, but I remember Brian saying that Adam had the best voice he's ever heard. Does anyone else remember where he said that? I remember it because it jumped out at me." I remembered it as well. Here you go: www.facebook.com/NewZealandGlitterTribe/?ref=nf&hc_ref=ARQtsxbwQOrd_BLbM3RB_lJJC3n4Sac66pjc5hHsrDS4FQPULwfroeqUosM-g4MRm4A"Brian May on Queen's Second Life with Adam Lambert" Replacing a singer under any circumstances is always a tall order. But stepping into the shoes of arguably rock's most charismatic frontman, Freddie Mercury? Despite near impossible odds, Queen's partnership with Adam Lambert has hit all the right notes. The band's legendary guitarist Brian May gives their current singer highest praise, declaring "[Lambert] has the most extraordinary voice I've ever heard." "That says a lot because I've heard a lot of voices in my time,". May adds. "It's an extraordinary instrument, and he's learned to control it and harness it during the time we've worked with him. Sometimes, I just stand and watch, and my mouth drops." Let me take my medicine. I don't remember this interview. Well okay - even Brian has your opinion. lol. But it doesn't change much. I've always said Adam has a technically sounder voice. He is well trained and his instrument is well preserved. I still don't think that makes him better...especially at being a rock frontman. It doesn't make one voice better than the other. Both Freddie and Adam have great voices but they are very different. They are both great front men, flamboyant, colorful, dynamic performers but very different. We can love them both and we can prefer one over the other. Better is the wrong word. It's all a matter of taste. I love Adam, to me he's the whole package. Back in the day, in the 70's, I was a fan of Queen and Freddie gave me chills. Adam does that now! I hope we don't have to go through this anymore. Let the QOL people have at. They probably will never give Adam any credit.

He put it in the Boston thread. I think he was trying to sneak it in Sneaking it in? Was I not supposed to put it in the thread of the gig? I thought that's where it was supposed to go...*confused* Talon, that's where it should go but everyone also posts in the daily thread. No problem. I just wanted to read it! Great recap!

I'm just going to comment on this once, I don't give Two Fux about the hardcore Queen fans anymore. They can sit at home and enjoy their albums while I enjoy the live concerts! Who knows how long they will be able to tour. Hopefully for many years to come! In any case, they don't know what they're missing. The music live is beyond fantastic.

I saw it on QueenOnline. Yeah, I am a glutton for punishment. Not specifically his recap but the other posters. Boy do many people (including the mod) hate Adam and Adam fans there. I think some feel threatened that AFL is just that good and fans are actually enjoying what he brings to Queen and the concerts. Even though Adam graciously and sincerely pays homage to Freddy and Queen it will never make some hardcore fans happy.JMHO It still amazes me that the hardcore Queen fans would rather not have any more live performances than accept Adam and delight in the fact that Queen is still able to tour because of him. As far as I'm concerned they can listen to their albums till the end of time. I on the other hand will enjoy the live concerts as long as the band is able.

So grateful I was able to attend. These are great! Never hesitate to post any picture, we love them all!!!!

Ummm, these are the pants many were saying do not fit him well? Adam has a beautiful body. Tall and lean and fit, broad-shouldered and well-proportioned. His thighs are not spindly and thin, like many guys have. They are muscular and strong. If some people think his pants don't fit well, I disagree. I love him from the tip of his head to the bottoms of his feet. His pants fit his masculine body just fine. Damn sexy!

On my last visit to see family back east, we decided to spend some time in Cape Cod, {always a place of passionate JOY for me,} surrounded by sea and those enchanting grey and white cottages, a stately lighthouse up on the hillside ---I could go on and on, getting misty even thinking about it... Anyway , DH and I took a day trip to Provincetown,a coastal resort community, and took in all the artist displays, hippie dyed t shirts, head shops and tattoo parlours everywhere...Oh no! Adam! Such a fun place to be, still can smell the salty sea air, see the joviality of the street people, hear the musicians playing near the docks and taste the most delicious ice cream cone I've ever had on a summer afternoon. When I recall these sweet memories, I think of this gift that Adam experiences as he travels all over his country and the world--all because of his beautiful voice which he shares with all of us--and it makes me so happy that he has these opportunities. He is so deserving of all these "Moments of his lifetime." Cape Cod means a lot to me too. Spent my honeymoon there. It is one of the most beautiful places on earth. I'm sure Adam has enjoyed that part of the country, probably for a very different kind of beauty!! haha
