Just finished listening to the GNT CD again. I said it before, but have to say it again. It is a tour de force! Just mind boggling. It is truly hard to fathom that it was recorded live, in one take, at one concert with no studio tricks. One would expect that in an hour plus concert there would have to be an occasional bobble, a slight slip in the vocals, a slight lagging in the energy, a strained note, a lapse in concentration. But, none of those things happened. Not once. And, this was not a one-off concert made for film. It was after three grueling months of touring; traveling to a different city almost daily, performing 5 nights a week. This was as close to perfection as a singer could ever aspire to live. Listening to the CD as a continuous performance I am struck with how challenging and taxing the singing is on every number. Even when Adam slows it down in the acoustic part, the technique to sing those songs is demanding. There's not one song that is simple; where Adam can just relax and "call it in." Some people criticized the show for not being longer, but when you listen to the show in its entirety, how much longer COULD he have maintained that level of quality and energy? I don't know what the future holds for Adam, don't know what his future concerts will be like. I believe we have not begun to see all that Adam can and will do. But THIS CD, these vocals are one for the books. If there is any justice in the world, any recognition of excellence, this should become a classic example of performance at its best. I'm right there with you, Cassie. Just commented on your post on yesterdays thread. I just watched it for the 2nd time, and was just as much, or more amazed. How he does it, I have no clue. I just so damn happy he does!!! I truly believe that we are so very lucky to have stumbled across this most amazing creature in our lifetimes. What more could one want??? I know I will treasure this DVD for the rest of my life!!

I'm one of the unlucky ones who are still sitting longingly, watching out the window, waiting.... ..... Your post is soooo spot on, cassie!!!! Brought a tear to my eye, just thinking about the beauty of the man and the voice. Surely NOW the rest of the world will see, right???? Probably not, but I bet this WILL turn some heads. I wonder what Adam's peers will think when they see it, hear it? I want to see jaws drop, darn it!!!!!!!

Q3-- I breathed a huge sigh of relief when you came to the part where you found the DVD/CD. I would have been frantic. And here's another set of images for the record. Itunes Pop.

Q3... LOL at your story about getting "the box" at your office!!! I have this vision of this immaculately turned-out, perfectly-poised executive in a YSL power suit (IDK... maybe like Meryl Streep in the Devil Wears Prada), who is calm, cool, and collected in a board meeting... then, when the meeting is over, she graciously thanks everyone, serenely glides back to her private office, quietly closes the door, and instantly turns into a bsc GNAFL fan... shaking boxes and ranting and raving and cursing UPS... kicks off her Manolo Blahnik pumps, and tears down the hallway to the elevator... OMG I'm picturing the face of the poor UPS guy who's confronted with this crazy woman... LMAOOOOOO I'm dying here... Your story reminded me of another professional woman--a Canadian doctor-- who posted this on another forum two years ago: True confession: Yesterday I mailed a small gift to our boy, Adam. Its the first time I have ever sent anything, even a letter to a celebrity but it was such a blast!! Hoping that my family would not notice, I packed all the necessities in a bag and headed to the mall to get some final things. I returned to my car and packed and addressed the box. I was so excited I thought I was going to faint. (or possibly have a stroke!?!) The thought of Adam receiving the box and being that connected to me for even a moment was euphoria. I then had a vision of being found dead in the car with the box addressed to Adam in my lap. What would the headlines read? " 54 year old Doctor and obsessed Adam Lambert fan dies of excitement writing his name …" I decided not to be embarrassed at the post office when mailing the gift to Hollywood (thanks Adam for your inspiration and empowerment in this area!) On the drive home, my stomach did a flip when I realized there is a chance that the box may not get over the Canadian-US border and could possibly returned to my home. (my husband picks up the mail!) Who can come and visit me when I am committed? Does anyone want to go to the concert in Hamilton? Thanks for listening. Had to tell someone.
