Next week we'll see its 'true' impact on the UK, but we need it to chart and get some visibility first so people know it exists

ahh I was going post this pic now hehehe I received this pic yesterday from one friend mine.. This guy with Adam is a Brazilian fan (but now he is living in London)... his name is Diego Fernando, and he met Adam in that restaurant, and just asked for one pic and Adam "smiling" a lot agreed! Diego told Adam was absolutely amazing yesterday

Freckles, maybe I live in a bubble, but I'm pretty sure nobody besides hard core Adam fans know about this campaign. No messages were even posted on "industry" forums, such as pulse or atrl. To be honest, I don't think Shoshanna even knows the extent of it. I think sometimes we forget there is a whole world out there, and they're not interested in following the ins and outs of every fandom. Also, this might be hard to believe, but this type of campaigns happen for EVERY mainstream artist not just Adam. So when you talk about first week sales for any artist out there it includes fan buying campaigns. There are no "100% organic" first week sale numbers for anybody. My 2c: Adam (and any artist) is lucky to have such hard core fans who do this type of shit for him. I am NOT an advocate of the "cray" fans, and I think that there are plenty of things fans do to undermine credibility (leaving OTT comments; calling radio belligerently, etc) but I don't think this is one of those situations. ETA: or what others have said LOL

So everyone does not know. Besides, this is what "street teams" do. Probably every artists has them, including big ones, like Gaga! If it were a 100% American group of fans doing this, I might object. But these are UK fans initiating this. Without them, it would be impossible. It's not for everyone and you have your opinion.

Just out of curiosity, I wandered over to the DDD forum. The guys there can be quite harsh about Adam, tho' they respect his technical skills. Thing is, because they acknowledge he is so good, if he does anything that falls short of brilliant, in their estimation, they carp about it (i.e. the EMA performance wasn't challenging enough for his vocal ability). Well, they are begrudgingly acknowledging that Adam is doing a pretty decent job fronting for Queen. ;D ;D I know that we are not supposed to bring over posts from other forums or even mention them, but in this case, since we have quoted their ranking of Adam as in the top 5 Best frontmen in the business, I thought it would be okay. www.digitaldreamdoor.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=568&hilit=Adam+Lambert&start=3000

So what? Adam is not well know¨n in the UK. We need to push it high so it gets visibility. Then the "regulars" can take over you say so what like you really don't understand how this entire campaign undermines Adam's credibility. The whole thing reeks of desparation IMO and a total lack of confidence in Adam's music and his ability to connect with non-hardcore fans. Add in the fact that the campaign as been all anyone has talked about for days and that means everyone knows that whatever position he gets was manufactured and not any real evidence that he's become better known within the UK. I'd have rather seen REAL first week sales to know how the PR in the UK and the Queen concerts were helping his visibility and then perhaps do a push in week 2. I don't agree .. Adam is not well known in the Uk.. hopefully after charting and the Queen concerts a different story. I'm a fan and I can't go to London right now so I did what I could do in place of that. Support is support however you want to look at it. According to the above theory,Maybe Americans shouldn't get on planes to see Adam in concert.Allow only locals to go to the shows,so we can see how popular he is in other countries without American influence. Wouldn't that be silly and counter productive. Again support is support.. I choose to support my favorite artist in my way .

I don't know, this campaign was/is all over twitter. Heck, a "dark side" thread is kept hidden on this site to try to keep negative feelings under wraps. This has been completely out in the open.
Eta---everyone is supporting Adam; but let's be real, this is WAY above and beyond. But, if it works, and NCOE takes off in the UK it will be all good
