Since there won't be any gifters today or tomorrow, expect NCOE to fall down the chart. And Trespassing is now #34. at some point it has to be sustained by non-glamberts buying it otherwise what's the point? This whole gifting thing left a bad taste for me. It's just artifical positioning and not a real reflection of whether Adam has made a noteable impression during his UK promo. Now we might never know if the PR push helped  Agree completely. Oh, I am so excited for all the folks going to the Queenbert shows! How fun to hear about their meet-ups and experiences together. This is so amazing! I will be there vicariously too. I am so happy for all of you! And we will get a pro DVD--THANKS TO THE UNIVERSE FOR MAKING THIS COME TRUE! I can't really angst about Adam's sales, radio play, etc. I mean, seriously, the guy has life by the tail and looks to me like he is enjoying the heck out of it! I am glad he can be in the present moment enough to enjoy this experience with Queen and realize how exceptional this opportunity is. HE knows that he made a great album in Trespassing--I love every song on it. He is such a phenomenal singer, performer, entertainer, and human being--it will all be fine. I BELIEVE! Roger and Brian have both commented on their experience with writing and recording music. They have had success but they have also experienced many failures and stalls. I think it's great that Adam is surrounded by people with this type of insight. I think it is more important that Adam's music be critically acclaimed. He'll find his audience. We all jumped right on board. Others are sure to follow. In the mean time, he's out there, working hard and has many irons in the fire. |

Oh, just wanted to add, of course, that everybody is entitled to their opinions, YMMV, etc, and you can definitely not take part in this whole craziness if you don't want to. |

I don't know, this campaign was/is all over twitter. Heck, a "dark side" thread is kept hidden on this site to try to keep negative feelings under wraps. This has been completely out in the open. Eta---everyone is supporting Adam; but let's be real, this is WAY above and beyond. But, if it works, and NCOE takes off in the UK it will be all good Yes, this campaign is on twitter, but so is a LOT of other information that one does not usually stumble onto unless they go looking for it. In other words, unless you follow Adam fans on twitter who have been involved, OR you specifically search for Adam's mentions and spend a while sifting through all the mentions to get to this campaign, it's really hard to find. It's not like this campaign is trending on twitter or anything. Also, even if one does hear about it, see my point about all fandoms doing this. But of course, YMMV, etc etc Ok, and with this I gotta go attend to RL. |

Although, I did donate; peer pressure, I think I would do ANYTHING to make sure Adam's magnitude of a talent is given its due. ANYTHING. All kinds of real crap is up the charts, so if it takes extra $s to show support for the mega talent- WHY NOT? How on earth will his music get to people if radio does not play? so, if it takes extra push to have the radio play - it is my pleasure to push. As simple as that. |
