Not long ago I had the chance to see Gordon Lightfoot in concert (seems like someone on this board makes fun of him but whatever). I am the someone who mentioned him but I was not making fun of him but of the fact that there has been a day in Adamtopia full of posts of non Adam youtube videos including his. My thoughts were 1)where am I? 2)who is this singer? I have never heard his name before, I have NO IDEA who he is. If he is a country singer that explains it. What I'm saying now is what I also posted then. I don't know him.

I thought the person doing Brian May's site would overlook this one. BrianMayCom @brianmaycom www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/music/live-music-reviews/9395281/Queen-Adam-Lambert-Hammersmith-Apollo-review.html TELEGRAPH Adam Lambert can certainly handle the vocal range of Queen’s songs although he lacks Freddie Mercury’s rock.. ETA: There's 17 comments now and I'm enjoying reading the positivity. Oh, here's a new term in one of them: Maylorberts! LOL No hostility here, Mr. McCormick is entitled to (and paid for) his opinion. I, however, found last night's concerts one of the most moving experiences of my life and I wasn't even there. Watching the Youtube videos, I found myself smiling, singing along, clapping, laughing and, yes, finding tears rolling down my face. Congrats to Queen and to Adam Lambert. You are turning us all into Maylorberts. The reviewer said Freddie had a "machismo" strut. Really? Well, each to their own.

www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/news/a393072/adam-lambert-performs-with-queen-pictures.htmlAdam Lambert performs with Queen - picturesPublished Thursday, Jul 12 2012, 18:01 BST | By Robert Copsey Adam Lambert performed the first of his three UK concerts with Queen in London last night (July 11). The singer took to the stage at London's Hammersmith Apollo with Brian May and Roger Taylor to sing the band's biggest hits. Lambert, who was personally chosen by May to stand in for the late Freddie Mercury, wore platform boots and a leather jacket adorned with silver chains as he opened with 'Seven Seas of Rhye'. He later performed a selection of the band's most notable songs which were well-received by the crowd, including 'Bohemian Rhapsody', 'We Are The Champions', Radio Ga Ga' and 'Who Wants To Live Forever'. Discussing the show with Digital Spy, he recently said: "I still can't believe we're doing this. It'll sink in eventually! more.. (Nice that they linked NCOE music video)

The reality is, that it is released for free and with zero editing every time anyone perform now. If I walk through suz526' videos it is almost like having a DVD in my hands, at least it is the next best thing. While my suspicion is that you are right and we will not receive a live concert DVD as generously as we did with GNT, it is kind of surprising why artists given today's reality of the internet choose to not release an official version. I am drowning in videos as is, one better than the next. But I would love to get a perfect sound stream without fan singing, basically straight from his mic. Assuming it was on at all times. Sometimes the sound was really low, at least in the secondary sound recordings that we are getting it seems that way. Just a thought...perhaps this is one of the reasons there are less DVD concerts - the fact that most people can get it free on YouTube. The market is somewhat saturated. This is NOT a judgement at all because I benefit like everyone else...but perhaps that is a thought from the production companies...
