Thanks for keeping the info coming, Houselady. Just a note: This "minor journalist" calls AFL a "minor talent". Wish I hadn't given him a hit. "But Randy? Dawg! He’s the glue. Yesterday “Idol” — in a misbegotten contract negotiation–planted items that they might switch out Randy for Lambert, a minor talent and former contestant" I didn't care for that part either, and unfortunately the story is now linked from the Drudge Report which gets millions of hits daily. However it plays out, at the end of the day it keeps people talking about him - he is golden. |

Sorry, but any blogger defending Randy as a judge is on his payroll or a family member. The guy is useless, even when he's comprehensible.
(I should temper that by saying that I haven't watched AI since Season 8 and I suppose it's entirely possible that by comparison to Tyler and JHow? he's started to sound like the sane judge.)

OR they can;t care less about AI... All good. |

I just wanted to report that my daughter was visiting me the last week [she lives across the country] and she has decided that she loves Adam, especially the Trespassing album!! In no time she could end up a glambert!! yeah.....She wasn't as enamoured with the Queen concerts...liked them OK but much preferred his own music!!
I THINK that makes me happy!! :-)
ETA her favourite tracks [tho she loved them all] were SHADY and NAKED LOVE.....
ETA2 she remarked several times how much she was reminded of Michael Jackson...

No, he hasn't gotten any better. I always thought Randy was the most useless of the original three judges, mainly because he seemed to have about five meaningless phrases that he used over and over in place of actually critiquing a performance, but he still does that plus he has fallen into the habit of declaring everything, "The best we've ever seen on Idol!" I hope they scrap the entire current panel of judges. |

obviously a matter of definition of "Queen". and obviously the definition is different for the hard core original Queen fans and for the surviving/founding members. nothing to argue about IMO and the main thing - it doesn't matter what they are called, does it? It does matter to some people - some of the main objections is to calling it Queen & Adam Lambert because Queen suggests the four of them. If it was to be Brian May & Roger Taylor of Queen with Adam Lambert or a totally new name, some of the objections WOULD fly out the window. To me though I disagree. I think by calling it Queen + Adam Lambert it IS a new band. It's Queen + Adam Lambert. Even I who doesn't really think of it as Queen anymore...still thinks it would be dumb to call it anyone else since it's 2/4 of the original lineup, 1 member whose toured with them since 1984 (Spike Edney) AND the Queen catalogue...what else do you call it? Again though merely touching on some reasoning. I was never overly upset about it  And it wouldn't keep me from watching or going if it came to the US. |

Just want everyone to know that Adam's video is back on Much More Music Top 20. It disappeared for a couple of days and is now back at #6. They claim you can vote hourly but the poll seems to have a bad sense of timing. Anyhow I get in a few votes every day. What I would really like to happen is to get the video on the Much Music countdown. Keeping my fingers crossed and my voting finger clicking -- it's a bit tricky. Hah!
